Great product. It takes on the flavor you are cooking with. We have used it for a lot of our “meatless Monday” recipes including tacos, walking tacos, burritos, spaghetti with “meat” sauce, sloppy joes, etc. Simply, ir is a great substitute for ground beef. Good value, especially for a company based in the USA. One bag lasts for multiple meals. Happy we found this products and this company!

I absolutely LOVE this Textured Pea Protein or as I call them Pea Crumbles. They were recommended to me by my Vegan Coach to increase my Protein intake. I generally rehydrate with an organic vegetable stock or broth. I've added organic minced garlic and organic taco seasoning so far. I love the texture and am excited to explore different ways of seasoning them. Absolutely great so far in tacos and spaghetti!!

Vegan taco night? Why yes! This stuff is great for a ground meat substitute if you don't want to buy Beyond/Impossible ground beef products. Also good in a vegan Bolognese, and in a lasagna. Be sure to use some olive oil and season it well, and get some good browning on it for best flavor and texture profile. It replaced soy curls in a lot of our vegan dishes.

I mix it in with my granola recipe. I wanted to try to add a crunchy texture and make my granola have more protein. I can’t say it’s perfect, but it’ll do. I might try soy protein next time. It changed the taste a little, gave it a more peanut butter taste? But not in a bad way, still very yummy. The texture doesn’t really change or get soggy in the granola, which I was concerned about! Definitely not as crunchy as I’d like though!

This product taste like nothing. With that said, if you don’t know how to season your food, you will not like it. I can just soak this with beef broth and add rice to it and it’s delicious. It has a meaty texture. Some of the reviews said it smells like fish-I don’t really like seafood and I have not noticed a fishy smell to it. I recommend this product if you want low-calorie high protein. Be sure to mix with a grain for optimal amino acid absorption. I will be buying this product again. I bought this product in January and just used it at the end of February because I was nervous on how it would taste. You have to season it. Tofu (to me) does not taste good unless it’s seasoned, same goes for this product. I will say it’s a little pricey for the 7.9 ounce bag- but it’s worth it. I’m only writing this review because I saw negative reviews about the product and I think it’s a great product. I’m excited to try it as taco meat.

I have been looking for good “meat alternative” options ever since my husband started his vegan journey. I am so happy I found this one. It comes dehydrated so at first the quantity seems small, but just follow the instructions and see this product change like magic. The instructions say to add 1.5 cups of water to 2 cups of product. That’s exactly what I did. I made sure to stir it so the product and water mixed well. I let it sit (about 15-20 minutes) while I cooked up an onions and tomatoes base for my dish. The product more than doubled in size in this time. I used it to prepare a vegan “ground beef” and bell peppers dish. It cooked like ground beef normally would, except with a much shorter cooking time. The finished dish looked similar to the one I would make with ground beef. The aroma, flavor and texture were all there without the “meat” tasting strange or rubbery. The product absorbed the spices really well and the dish turned out looking and tasting delicious. Am I switching over to a vegan diet? No, but I will happily eat this alongside my husband. If you are looking to add a “meat alternative” to your vegan options, and are in need of a product that cooks up easily and tastes great, I highly recommend this.

I was excited to try this product, but immediately noticed there was no manufacturing date or expiration date anywhere on the packaging. Buying food online without clear information about when it was made or when it expires feels really concerning. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to return it, so it ended up being a waste of money. Really disappointing experience — do better, Puris.
