Maybe go up a size
I wore them with thick socks for a short while to break them in a little, they look great. First run in them on a damp afternoon proved quickly that they are in no way water resistant. The running in them was ok. They are a little tight in the width and the lace system is not very forgiving. I would not wear them on a long stretch of tarmac or road as it feels like running in rugby or football boots. On the whole they are ok. So far they appear to be robust enough to last. Will update if they fail inside 200 mile of running in them

Excellent running/hiking shoe for soft terrain
These are supreme running and hiking trainers for soft terrain. I like them so much that I use them on all terrains, soft and hard. They have excellent energy return on hard surfaces, but it comes at a cost - the lugs on the soles wear off quickly. Since they are the most important parts of the shoe - which provides grip - once the lugs wear off, the shoe is almost unusable even though the rest of it might be perfectly serviceable. Nevertheless, five stars from me.

Salomon trainers
I’ve had many pairs of these speed cross trainers for running and general use, but these somehow seem to be of an inferior quality.. and the rubberised upper is already coming apart after 5 weeks of periodic use…. I will be sending these back or claiming a refund, at the moment I’m finding it very difficult to find the right place to sort my complaint.

Look great! Excellent comfort! Got a size bigger than I normally wear and fit great. Recommend going half to one size up for anyone buying them.
