What does MGO stand for?

It is Petzl's name for a Pelican Hook. The "OPEN" name means that can be directly connected to lanyards. The 60 is 60mm refers to the gate opening. There are Petzl MGO ( non-open & open) and (60mm and 110mm versions)

Is the gate stamped with weight loads so that it is ansi compliant?

It’s stamped on the other side of the hook not the gate.

can u attach directly to grillon rope or do u have to use a carabiner does the eyelet come apart
