Love it. Makes the boiled eggs peel easier. My hubs eats a boiled egg every day, I do 7 at a time & piercing them keeps them from breaking open & they almost peel themselves.

I'm shocked! this really is a great little egg piercer. light weight and small (perfect size for using and storing) and is durable so far and does the job. Great value for the money. I was having a horrible time with peeling hard boiled eggs and discovered that this helps a lot along with making sure your eggs get put on high heat and boil for a minute first before removing from the heat to cover and sit for 10 - 11 minutes. I am 48 yo and just now able to peel eggs without wrecking them. Glad I bought this.

Puts a very small hole in base of egg. After boiled for 6 minutes, place immediately into bowl of ice water. Crack shell on soft surface for a perfectly hard boiled egg with beautiful soft, liquid center!

Works every time. I use this as a replacement for my egg poker that came with my egg cooker/steamer. My only issue is the hole that it poaks in the egg is a little small. Sometimes the egg ends up cracking in the cooking process since the hole punch is so small.

this is easily the thing that results in the easiest to peel hard boiled eggs i have ever made, and i was a freaking culinary student! old eggs peel great, fresh eggs peel great, ice bath or no ice bath, didn’t even bother testing baking soda. the eggs peel easy every single time. i will grant, though, that using an icebath made the egg itself more stable when peeling so you don’t need to be as gentle but even a completely fresh out of the pot egg peeled easily and only lost a tiny bit of eggwhite cuz i was rushing a little too much. only caveat is that you should wipe off the needle after use to ensure longterm cleanliness. in all cases, this thing fully deserves 5 stars and i’d personally give it 6 if i could. in short, if you like hard boiled eggs, buy one of these. boiling times used after bringing water to a full rolling boil: 10 minutes: full hard boil, yolk fully cooked unless immedistely peeled, no green yet so this is the sweet spot for making egg salad and deviled eggs and the like. 8 minutes: not quite fully cooked, maybe 40-50% yolk cooked with goey core. 6-7 minutes would likely result in cooked whites but raw yolk if that is what you’re looking for ( i prefer egg salad though so i didn’t test this duration yet)

This is a wonderful and simple tool. Perfect eggs every time! No more frustration peeling boiled eggs! 100% satisfied! Very very very simple!

Broke after very few uses, cheaply made and not worth the money.

Works well and easy to use

A bit pricey for what it is but couldn’t find one anywhere else. We cook a lot of hard boiled eggs for quick snacks so this was very helpful in making a task go quicker. I wish it would make a bigger and deeper hole. It doesn’t always seem to pierce through but I just do it again. Eggs peel like magic now.

Took a bit if getting used to to prick the egg, once done and after cooking the egg shell was easily removed. Could be a better design to make it easier to use.
