Compared to other active shutter glasses I've owned on different devices in the past, these perform just as well if not better. I don't have much experience with passive lenses in home use scenarios, but comparing to a passive 3D movie in a theater, the experience is very similar. My eyes are sensitive to high refresh rates, but I can just barely detect the shutter effect for the first few minutes of a movie, then I adjust quickly and do not experience any headache or discomfort whereas some people might not be as compatible with active shutter lenses.
