Replaced an aging Dayton (Grainger) part number 2MEK3B of the same specifications (50 + 7.5 mfd) in a 20 year old Lennox central air unit (not the original capacitor). The dimensions of the Blue Stars capacitor (both diameter and height) matched the Dayton unit being replaced exactly and were consistent with the product listing. The capacitor being replaced was still working and tested OK so it will go on the shelf as a spare. The capacitor itself is clearly marked (C=common, FAN, and HERM (compressor)). Terminals feel solid as does the metal (aluminum) casing. Did not weigh it but felt as heavy (if not slightly more) than the capacitor it was replacing. The product labeling clearly shows China as the place of manufacture but claims it is UL (USA) and CE (Europe) certified (but I have no way to verify this).
