Beautiful black walnut chopping board. Very good quality and craftmanship. A bonus that it comes with oil and a plate. The chopping board has a space at the front for the plate to sit to collect chopped up food which is very convenient. Nice size and the grain pattern looks very pretty. Very impressed.

The chopping board arrived with a piece of metal embedded within it. The manufacturer states there is nothing they can do about it.

Edited review after 4 weeks of usage Unboxing - Product has a strong odor once out and remains to be there. Not sure if it's a natural walnut or gluing smell. But it's not a big deal once you wash and clean, it becomes a very minor issue. - The board came out of the box dry and dusty - though it is pre-seasoned and can be used and washed, I decided to apply a light layer of oil and wax which helped bring it a nice shine and life back to it - Comes with a short manual and warranty link (the registration of the warranty did not work, had to reach out to customer service to get it manually applied; if it does not work for you - please contact directly) - I find that the oil was a very nice addition to the product, especially for first-time wooden board user (and those learning to care for their tools - 3M adhesive for the abrasive/grip footing for the board User Experience - It's a very nice length. I honestly use half of it in a portrait for light preparation; putting some of my utensils on top. It fits nicely on the counter space. I turn it when I want to use the full board (to wear in the less used side, or when doing heavier prep and need more utilization of the board real estate. - the board has bit of weight to it, be careful when moving it around - the cut out for the plate is quite nice to which helps bring organics to compose or throw it in your mise en place (bowls or straight to pots etc); also makes it nice to grab onto when moving around - The board has a slippery surface, it will take your knife a while to break in and have a better tactile bite; oiling and mix of wax helps with that surface stickiness you want. - the 3m adhesive though not seemingly durable for long-term/waterproof, it does it job so far. can easily be replaced (but for those who want something more durable and not spend extra on replacement, please note. After 4 weeks of use, it is still very durable) - The customer service took 1 day to respond, and manually applied my warranty and made note of the website issue + gave me some suggestions for proper use and care Edit + Resolved - splitting of glued edge (i take care of the board, light water cleaning, dry it with towel, and let it fully dry on side after 2 weeks, it's splitting - reaching out for customer support) -> They sent me a brand new one on top of the old one which is lifetime warranty) - ingredients still slippery - waiting to see if another oil and wax will break in a better surface for ingredients. -> Has gotten better over time after break in and second round of oil and wax - the business owners and customer service is very passionate and willing to help/provide satisfaction with their products. I recommend to anyone! Summary Overall / Recommendation of product. Current downgrade to 3 stars from 4 due to pending issues. For large size for 130 CAD, a starter board. It's pretty good and aesthetically beautiful. For a long-term board at the price, it's still being examined/considered due to the major issue with slippage with ingredients and cracking after careful use and care. I am waiting to see how Customer service responds to requests. Overall, this product is decent, but if the issue is consistent throughout manufacturing, I recommend this product to anyone starting. They have made up for a lot of my unsatisfactory experiences thus far.

We have been through too many cutting boards, with many of them splitting from being too thin or breaking down after only a few uses. We used to buy bamboo because those were better than the plastic ones for many reasons but again they just kept splitting. After doing some deeper research, we wanted a thicker board that would last us a really long time that again wasn't plastic. We have loved his board so far! It seems like great quality in terms of durability and is well made. Additionally, the wood is beautiful to look at. We would definitely purchase from this company again. The customer service has also been pleasant!

This is not just a great cutting board, it is a work of art! It is a pleasure to use with its built in hand slots and slot for dish to scrape chopped items onto. After using it for a week I wiped it off, re oiled it and it looks like new again. The provided rubber feet give it a sturdy no slip stance on the counter. It is a nice touch that they provide mineral oil and a small plate along with the board. As an added bonus, it looks great on my counter top.

Tolle Optik. Die Idee mit dem Unterstellbarem Teller ist sehr gut. Schöne Größe und Verarbeitung. Wackelt den beigefügten Gummi Füßen. Wenn mann nur vier Anbringt liegt es einwandfrei auf. Nicht zu schwer und trotz der Größe immer noch Handlich.
