Bought this to replace a non-GFCI outlet that had started shorting and tripping the breaker in the panel. Probably could have gone with another non-GFCI, but the price difference was negligible and i figured the extra peace of mind was worth it. Arrived fast with next day shipping and had it installed in under 10 minutes. Everything works now, no shorts, no tripped breakers. Good clean looking outlet. One thing to plan for. This GFCI sits deeper than a standard outlet, though not as bulky as some of the smart GFCIs, so make sure you have room in the box before you buy. In my case it fit without any issues.

Easy to install. Just as advertised

Works. good price. PAY ATTENTION TO THE LOAD/LINE ORIENTATION My old GFCI outlets all got cooked during a lightning storm. The old ones had the LOAD input on the same side as the ground connection. These new Amazon basics units are opposite with the LINE input closest to the ground connection. When wired up with the LOAD/LINE reversed, the green LED stays lit but does not deliver power to the sockets. If this happens reverse the wiring from top to bottom. DO NOT SWITCH LEFT TO RIGHT. Black wire to brass screws, White wire to silver screws.

The outlet itself seems fine and well made but if you're trying to attach the wire to the terminal screws the plastic tabs that hold the outlet together are too close and at the same height as the screw when its loose blocking you from simply just hooking the wire around it. Luckily I only had one outlet so I just messed with it till I got it to work but if I had multiple of these I would have immediately returned them.
