Are the glass ornaments 4.5 inches long or is it the ornament and string equals 4.5 inches long?

I believe it's the ornament that is 4.5 " Long I gave them as a gift but they were not very big but they varied in size some 3.5" Some were 4" But they were very pretty and each one different and unique.

Where were these made?

Well, the boxes say "made in China."
