10-18mm F2.8 DC DN (for E Mount)

Good quality, well-build and light

What's not to like. After years of lugging around full-frame glass, I switched to APS-C format... this Sigma is a game-changer even on an APS-C ! Pretty sharp, with decent weather seal, all metal and light weight. Any limitation in an image can be fixed in post.

If you are an APS-C shooter you would realize that there aren't really much autofocusing ultra wide lenses to choose from. While there is the Sony 11mm 1.8 I decided to go with this just to get that 1mm wider and I'm not regretting it. While you may say the Sony is a F1.8 which would give better low light performance, you are probably in the market for lens to shoot real estate, architecture or landscape any way and you are not looking to have a razor thin plane of focus anyway so you'll most likely be shooting between f4 to f8. Definitely recommend this lens for those types of shooters

If this lens could have OSS it would be the best lens in my kit! I use it for my APSC camera for landscape and street photography, on my FX30 for tight video shots in close quarters and I use it on my A7IV for POV at about 13mm and I don’t need to be in APSC mode!! Excellent!

If you have the Sigma 18-50, buying this lens is a no-brainer. The use-cases for such a wide angle are somewhat limited, but when you need it - you need it. This lens has the same quality as the Sigma 18-50 and takes just as good pictures on my Sony A6700.

Ho acquistato il Sigma 10-18mm F/2.8 DC DN per espandere la mia creatività in ambito ultra-grandangolare sul sistema APS-C E-Mount, e devo dire che è stata una delle migliori scelte fatte di recente! Nonostante le dimensioni super compatte e il peso piuma (davvero incredibile per un obiettivo così spinto), offre una qualità d’immagine sorprendente: nitido già a tutta apertura, con ottima resa ai bordi e una distorsione ben controllata. L’apertura f/2.8 costante lo rende perfetto anche in condizioni di luce meno ideali, ed è una manna per chi fa video o vlogging, soprattutto in ambienti interni o poco illuminati. È versatile, reattivo e silenzioso, ideale per foto d’architettura, paesaggio, interni, street e per tutti quei momenti in cui serve una prospettiva ampia senza sacrificare la qualità. E poi con un angolo di campo così ampio, ogni scatto ha quel “wow effect” naturale che solo un ultra-wide sa dare. Un altro punto di forza è l’autofocus: veloce, preciso e completamente silenzioso, perfetto per le riprese video. Anche in combinazione con la stabilizzazione del corpo macchina, dà risultati davvero fluidi. In sintesi: piccolo ma potentissimo, con un’ottima luminosità, prestazioni ottiche eccellenti e una resa professionale in un formato super compatto. Il tutto a un prezzo che, considerando la qualità offerta, è davvero competitivo. Sigma ha fatto centro, ancora una volta.

I bought this lens, I didn't like it. I made a refund. As a result, they blocked everything on Amazon! It's like I didn't return the product. Be careful.

Lente ideal para quem tem uma câmera APS-C e quer fazer fotos/vídeos de arquitetura e interiores

C est la5 ou6eme que je commande toujours aussi pratique.

Was soll ich sagen? Es ist ein wirklich sehr gutes Objektiv. Mit 10-18mm Brennweite recht flexibel für Städte- und Landschaftsfotografie, es ist mit einer F/2.8-Blende recht lichtstark und leicht zu handhaben. Die Bildschärfe ist klasse und ich habe kaum Chromatische Aberration bei Gegenlicht entdecken können. Also ja, CA ist gegeben, wie bei jedem Objektiv, aber nicht besonders stark. Ich bin nicht besonders erfahren und auch "nur" Hobbyfotograf. Aber ich sehe bei diesem Objektiv keine besondere Nachteile. Es gibt sicher lichtstärkere Festbrennweiten für (Ultra)Weitwinkelfotografie, aber das Sigma 10-18mm F2.8 ist ein absoluter Banger für Leute, die gerne Landschaften und Städte fotografieren. Auch Nahaufnahmen sind damit möglich.
