A: Sorry, I don't know.  I only use it for painting and woodworking.

**Q: Can you refill these**
A: Each filter is a self contained and sealed unit. They are not made to be refilled.

**Q: how often do you need to replace them?**
A: Replace every 2-5 hours of use. Filter replacement is dependent on the toxicity of your work environment therefore, replacement is at your discretion and should occur whenever you begin to smell the chemical agent you are working with.

Its unopened in its original pouch. So you know its not exposed to the elements. Its compatible with my 3M respirator mask.

I ordered two of these filters. One came properly vacuum sealed and the other had a hole and so the seal was broken. Although the vacuum sealed mylar bags are nice, they really are not necessary and a sealed plastic bag will do just as fine. If your's comes like the one on the left, return it for a replacement or transfer it to a different bag. Other than that it is great that Parcil offers a filter of this caliber for this mask style for the worst case scenario.
