Good Introduction to the Motessori
I ordered this book for one of my daughters, who wanted to know more about the Montessori philosophy of raising and educating children. She is looking a Montessori schools in her area. She reports that this book is very helpful and recommends it.

This book should be a staple in every school's resource library for families. Other reviewers have expressed concern about its mention of inclusive practices but I found that content to be presented in a respectful and developmentally appropriate manner, and an absolute must for anyone interested in raising kind and considerate humans. I particularly liked reading about the lived experiences of parents raising children the Montessori way. This book is an essential primer for families interested in the Montessori approach beyond the toddler years. Highly recommend!

Great resource!
So many great Montessori principles covered in this book! Our littles attend a Montessori school, but we want to make sure our home set up and interactions encourage those principles at home, too. This has everything from the philosophy background to applicable activities and practices to put it place today. It’s also beautifully written and illustrated in a sturdy, yet lightweight book!

My parenting bible
The book reassured me in my parenting approach and it also brings me much new inspiration and many ideas for everyday family life. I already liked the previous book The Montessori Toddler and I also really enjoy Simone Davies's podcast Montessori Notebook. I love the way Davies and Uzodike revisit the works of Maria Montessori and make them up to date and accessible for broad audience. With their help it is easy to bring the Montessori principles in life.

Reinforcement
Third book in a series that will reinforce preexisting notions of fostering your child's independence and self-awareness. If you have the first two books you probably don't need this one... but then again if you have the first two, you might feel compelled (as I was! 😬) to complete the series! ;)
