Audien Hearing ATOM 2 Wireless Rechargeable OTC Hearing Aid, Premium Comfort Design & Nearly Invisible

This hearing aid was amazing! I could hear clearly, but ran into one problem. I have had 7 surgeries on both ears, and because of that, the silicone tip would go in too far. I contacted Audien, and they suggested I try the foam tips. That didn't work for me either. Than Audien did something amazing. They asked me to return the product to them, and they would send me a new hearing aid, wherein it hooks around the ear and therefore stays in place. Audien worked with me all the way through & immediately responded to every email. I would recommend trying them before anyone else. I'm impressed on how much they cared about my problem & what they could do to help me.

A bit difficult to fit, one has to fool around to get the proper fit to the ear. Once there and adjusted to wearing them, they function surprisingly well BUT only when they work. I waited for them to charge till both lights were green, fit them in my ear and within half hour one of them died! I recharged them but the one dead, remained dead. I cannot fuss with companies that do not do quality control and ship out defective merchandise. I will try a different company next.

This device did not meet my needs or expectations. It was difficult to actually place inside my ear , position to get the best hearing without whistles, echoing. It was too big for my ear , totally largely visible . So calling Audien support, I was lucky together Aleli who was very supportive, giving me tips as to how best to manage my learning. Tried and determined to make it. She was there to make it better. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make much longer and she was very understanding esp I think I mentioned I am 80 yrs old and my cognitive abilities are not the best. Aleli showed compassion and did her best to help me. I was worried as to how to remedy my situation with the financial situation Ihad purchased one , but found that on her suggestion a better aid that is more like I was used to ( used miracle ear for 7 yrs, ran out of warranty , broke down & would cost to just replace batteries, over $900). Obviously, this Ion was also too expensive for me, but she went out her way to make affordable for me. This is very meaningful, that rarely find a seller would extend all this. I have worn several brands of hearing aids in the last few years. These are the worst. Perhaps they are defective?? Trying all the different settings, the sound is inconsistant. It is like the aids are turned off, then all of a sudden with a noise they come on. And when our grandfather clock is chimming, the aids turn off and on rapidly. I am sending them back. Also, the button for adjustment is awkward to use, especially if you have larger fingers. Perhaps these were from a batch of defective aids?? There were different prices from different suppliers on Amazon and I went with the company with the best price, which was several dollars less than the other companies.

VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.....I know we only get what we pay for, but I fell for the words in the ads. They do make sounds louder, everything sounds louder, just scratching your ear sounds seems extra loud and annoying. When you turn your head and your collar rubs on your neck, Bham another sound. I am sure from regular hearing aide users that they are built to absorb and relay these sounds differently. Lesson learned.

The customer service for Audien is the best I have had in a very long time. I ordered this and was a little sceptical if they would be any good. I have a mild to medium hearing loss and the price was good for a hearing aid. Got them and charged them and put the first one in. No fancy adjusting very simple. Was shocked at how clear the words on tv was. Put in the second one and could not get it to work. Really liked the way the first one worked so decided to call the help number provided. Rang 3 times and a live, yes I said live, person answered. Aleli listen to my problem and said would ship me new ones, give me a return label for the defective pair, and was really sorry this happened. In 3 hrs I got an e mail back with return label and confirmation a new pair will be shipped. I have every confidence this is going to be a great purchase. Other companies could take lessons on their customer service. If you need a hearing aid this is it

I gave these a try. While I was a bit impressed at first with the quality of sound, there were a few problems that persisted. I even exchanged them for a 2nd pair to see if that would resolve my problems. First of all, I noticed an intermittent persistent hum. No matter how I positioned them in my ear or which ear cones I used, the problem persisted. It got irritating after awhile. The other issue I had was the some of the sounds that were amplified. The sound quality is so clear that I could hear my spouse in the other room talking on the phone and I could even hear the voice of the other person on the phone. By the way, the hearing aides were on the lowest volume. I bought these hoping to help me with my main problem, hearing people CLOSE to me talking, and not being interrupted from the surrounding voices and background sounds. I was at a party the other night, and I had to take them out when I was in a small group of 4 guys talking. I couldn't really hear them clearly because the hearing aide was so good at amplifying the other people in the room. I'm going to look for another hearing aide that 1, does not have an intermittent hum, and 2 reduces the background ambience noise so that I can better distinguish the closer conversation, perhaps with some form of noice cancellation.

Worked right out of the box. Five volume settings and four programs that actually work. Single button on each ear piece does all the switching. Sound quality is a little tinny but not bad. These things amplify all the sounds around you so if you can't hear your wife when the water's running you still wont be able to hear her when the water's running. Eating your cornflakes makes more noise than you thought. Comfortable. Can take a little tweaking in your ear to eliminate feedback. Basically hard to beat for the money.
