Guard Plate

This is exactly what I was looking for to help protect the chassis while bashing. It fits pretty well and is thick enough to protect during hard landings. I also like that it adds a little more weight to my 1/16 hyper go 16210. With a lipo 3s battery, this RC is extremely fast and keeping it a little more "grounded" gives you a little more control. The only downsides is that in the front portion of the armor plate, there is a bit of a gap between it and the chassis that will allow debris to collect. This isn't a huge issue since I always use my air compressor to blow off dust and debris that it collects during any run but something to be mindful of. The other would be the recess for the screws are not quite recessed enough leaving a little lip on the screw to get caught on something. I will check these after each run. Overall, given the price, it's well worth it. I only wish I had it installed from the start. It will definitely be in my cart with the purchase of any of the other hyper go 1/16 RC's I order.

The plastic chassis on my H16bm was getting chewed up by the asphalt and cement. Bought this to protect it. Fits great and is heavy duty. Has been in place now for several runs and it’s doing a great job. It’s been taking a beating and shows very little wear. Beware, it adds quite a bit of weight to the car. I now run 3s batteries in it exclusively due to the weight. Even with the added weight, 3s batteries still can make it wheelie and haul butt. Glad I got it.

Wrapped mine in Carbon Fiber wrap, don’t like looking like everyone else! These RCs are very zippy and they very little weight it adds goes unnoticed, my H16BM runs 3s and moves even with plate on

I bought this to prevent the undercarriage from being shredded driving in pavement all the time. Adds significant weight. I use 3S angry snails exclusively now. Hyper go 1/16 brushless is still very fast with street tires on it. Use longer screws for the 8 holes. The micro sized screws provided stock with the Hyper 1/16 don't work well adding the extra MM of steel.

Easy install, perfect fit. Great product to help protect the bottom of the Truggy.

I installed this part, the fit wasn't terrible but not good either. Decided to try it anyway. I didn't want it to strengthen anything but I use my hyper go at a skate park a lot, and the rough concrete was eating my chassis up pretty quickly. Ran with this skid plate just once. Problem is what makes the hyper go vehicles so tough is the ability to flex. This doesn't necessarily take that away because it bent and stayed bent as well as pulling the screws out of the differential bulk head. A skid plate for these cars should be two piece, I know that now and hope I can keep someone else from the same mistake.

I bought this with hopes it would fit my HyperGo H16PL. It "does". The length, holes, and reliefs as a template fits the PL chassis. However the folds, and the outer width, is a little wider than the base of the chassis, and as such acts more like a woodworking plane, where grass and debris are cut and pinched between the plate and resin body. I may consider making a gasket to deal with this. Overall, it fits and serves its purpose. Maybe a little expensive on the value scale at 25CAD.

The fit was good everything lined up perfectly. The steel used is heavy duty The only problem I had was bolting it up, I didn’t get any screws with it and you need longer screws than you took out. That was the only reason I gave it a three. Perfect piece
