Makes air travel much less of a hassle
Some people wear suspenders proudly, while others won't even consider them. I was in the latter group, but once I tried suspenders (for comfort while recuperating from surgery), I quickly became a convert. I had thought that constantly tugging on your jeans was just one of life's fundamental principles. It's not. And if you don't like the look, they work fine under your shirt.Anyway, I bought 3 different kinds: Dickies, HoldUp Suspender Company, and Carhartt heavy duty.DICKIES: The Dickies are my favorite. PROs: they are inexpensive and the material is lighter, stretchier, and more comfortable. I am less aware of wearing them. They are my go-to for everyday, informal use. CONs: None. The HoldUps. These are the TSA compliant version. (Buy two, so you have a spare in case one breaks while traveling.) PROs: They make air-travel much less of a hassle. These are also a little nicer and would be more appropriate for a suit, although they would certainly work with jeans. They have a wide range of materials, colors, and hardware. CONs: The material is thicker and more rubberized, so you are more aware of wearing them and they are a little hotter in summer. Also the length adjustments are plastic and seem prone to slip, but not a big deal, and a worthwhile tradeoff to avoid TSA hassles. Expensive vs. the Dickies. The Carhartt's. These are for heavy-duty work environments. PROs: Oversize, high-quality hardware means they will almost always stay attached and that they will hold up heavy loads--think heavy waterproof pants for for fire-fighters, etc. (Still, they work perfectly fine with jeans.) CONs: They are heavy, 2" wide, and you are always conscious of wearing them. Expensive vs. the Dickies.(Same review posted for Dickies, HoldUp, and Carhartt.)

HOLEDUP BRAND AND THEY DO NOT GET BETTER THAN THIS
Had a pair -airport TSA proof - but where I stashed them I do not know. So I planning a couple flights got another pair of these really great suspenders. OVERALL HOLDUP BRAND SUSPENDERS are stupendous, great, wonderful things that a man that needs them can not do better owning. THEY WERE AND REMAIN AWESOME.

The best suspender clasps I've ever seen
Belts can be uncomfortable and often leave me feeling bloated if I wear them for too long, so I will wear these suspenders when I need something to support my pants and don't need anything too dressy. They are pretty plain suspenders as far as design go, but the really special thing are the clasps that they sport; clasps have always been the failure point for suspenders in my experience, whether just because the fall apart, don't grip the material sufficiently, or a combination of both. Not the case with these! I chose this set because I didn't like the idea of needles gripping my pants, and these plastic clasps seemed sturdy and not-pointy. They have held up splendidly and leave no marks on pants after wearing them all day. I'm a 6'3" guy, and my only complaint is that the sliding parts that adjust the height of the suspenders don't stay in place since they're made of plastic; I have had to safety pin them in place, and they hold just acceptably. I don't know if its just my height which stretches these suspenders to their upper limit, or the fact that the adjustment parts are insufficiently designed, but for the price, I was a bit disappointed they didn't hold up better on their own.Overall, I'd recommend them, because the clasps alone are designed well enough to warrant a purchase in my opinion.

Very Comfortable
I had never worn suspenders before. I was a little leery, but these are very comfortable. The 1 1/2” suspender width is just right. They do not dig into my neck or shoulders. I wear them for woodworking and yard work. The plastic gripper clasps hold my jeans securely. The plastic length adjusters tend to slip a little with strenuous activity. I have not yet worn them thru a TSA checkpoint, so I cannot comment on the no-buzz claims.

These suspenders work great.
These are really good suspenders. They clasp onto jeans firmly yet without damage. The length works for a 6-foot male with a long torso. I got tired of setting off the TSA alarms at airports.

Great find for my brother with Parkinsons
My brother, who has Parkinsons has been struggling to keep his pants up after taking his belt off to go through airport security. He has lost weight, but because he is 6'3" he cannot buy smaller sized pants as they would look like capris! He was flying cross country to attend my daughter's wedding and he had tried suspenders a time or two before. So we found these airport friendly suspenders and they worked like a charm throughout the wedding weekend. He also got a white pair from Mens Wearhouse where he rented a suit. Looked great! Suspenders are the way to go! He and I were thrilled!

NIce comfortable suspenders
I originally bought these for airline travel since none of the hardware will set off metal detectors. In practice, some TSA agents wave me through with them on and some insist I remove them. I continue to buy these all plastic hardware suspenders because the clips grip very well and don't damage the waistbands of my pants. The plastic adjustment sliders don't work quite as well and tend to slip some. If airline travel isn't an issue, I buy a slightly different version of these suspenders with the plastic clips and metal sliders, Those are what I use for everyday wear. The elastic on these suspenders lasts for about a year of everyday wear before it starts to look a bit worn. I like these suspenders very much and wear them daily.
