*UPDATE * It's been almost a year and this couch is still as beautiful and comfortable as ever. It's been napped on, jumped on and put through the ringers with teenage boys too. This is definitely a purchase you will NOT REGRET. My honest real review. Let's start with the basics, we all know buying a couch online without touching it, sitting on it or lounging on it is a huge RISK.. RESEARCH✅ So I did my research, this couch has been in the top 5 sofas for the past 2 years. I Google everything from best support, strongest frames, weight capacity. Just about everything under the sun before I even purchased this couch. I read every single review, yup sure did took me about 3 days to go through every review good, or bad. And then only, did I finally decided to take the leap and purchase this couch. Cause let's face it, it's alot of money, $1200 is not throw away money. COMFORT & DESIGN✅ The color I chose was slate, which is a beautiful gray color perfect for my living room and a superb neutral. The fabric is soft. The cushions are reversible, zippered to wash if needed. The frame is solid hardwood which is a blessing in its self, cause alot of sofas are made with fake woods. The frame is solid, sturdy and then wrapped with padding and soft material as well. This couch you will melt in to. I have fallen asleep on this couch so many times, even when I am not even tired. It's oversized and super comfy. Who would of thought down feathers would make a perfect cushion for a couch. The couch must have a built in stain or water resistant, because day of delivery it was raining just my luck, and when my son took off his coat inside the house rain drops flew everywhere including the sofa, which instead of just becoming water spots or puddles, they were rain drops on the sofa, it was like the sofa had bounce the water off itself. It was awesome. And let's face it with a teenage boy I need all the help I can get from water spills. I love everything about this sofa. I wouldn't change a single thing. We've had it for a month now and I will update if anything ever does happen, but I highly doubt it will. DELIVERY✅ As for delivery, I chose room of choice with a time frame from 12 pm to 3 pm. The drivers were here at 12 on the dot. Before you ask, I have a smaller door it's 30 inches wide, and my sofa fit with no issues. They removed it from the box that it came in before bringing it inside. It was completely wrapped with 2 different kinds of foam and bubble wrap to protect the couch while moving through the door. Delivery was amazing and well worth the little 20 dollars extra for room of choice delivery. MY HONEST OPINION ✅ My honest opinion is the buy it. When a sofa is rated in the top 5 across the country on multiple sites.. You know you are getting quality. I was VERY hesitant to buy furniture, particularly something so important as a sofa, online. For better or worse, we (2 humans, 2 small dogs, and a cat) spend a lot of time on the sofa so it was an important decision. Quality: I sat on, poked and prodded hundreds of sofas in search for the right one. The fabric and stitching of this sofa feels like the $2000-$5000 sofas that were beyond our budget. The quality is excellent. It is far and away beyond the feel of the many many $600 sofas I touched and sat on. The quality of the sofa makes it a great value for the money. Pet Durability: This is the only place it has faltered a bit. It has held up great over the few weeks we have had it with the dogs running and jumping and playing and scratching (despite our best efforts to get them not to) on it. When I first saw and felt the fabric I was afraid it would stain easily but so far so good. The cat is the only creature that has managed to damage the sofa. When we weren’t around, he had a field day kneading his paws and clawed up the top right corner. The fabric did NOT rip. It is still in tact. However, there are many pull marks (picture included). Color: I actually like the color (fawn) more in person than it appeared on my phone. On my phone it looked more of a burlap color where in person it is more linen and more neutral, if that makes any sense. It is a great color and goes with just about anything. Fabric: The fabric is comfortable to sit on but not silky soft. It has some nice texture to it. It looks like linen but feels smoother than most linen. It is smooth and comfortable against skin. If you are looking for something super fuzzy/ soft/ microfiber-y, this is not the sofa/ fabric for you. I find it to be smooth and comfortable. I also like the bit of texture. Firmness: When buying this sofa, there were a lot of good reviews that describe the firmness, so I won’t belabor it. My husband likes a firmer sofa and I like a soft sofa and we both like this one. You don’t sink down into it but it definitely has a little give. Given the firmness rating provided by Stone and Beam, it was a little firmer than I thought it would be. That being said it is not firm. Depth: I was a little freaked out by some of the reviews saying how deep the cushions are. I am very happy with the depth. It is great for curling up and cuddling up on. I can lay down and have a dog next to me and there is still some room to spare. However, if you like to sit up on a sofa, have your feet flat on the floor, and have the back of the sofa support your back, that is not going to happen, unless you are 7+ ft tall. We were so pleased with the sofa that after trying it out for a few days, we went ahead and ordered the matching chair, which we also love. We ordered a great (and much cheaper) ottoman made from the same fabric but is from a different Stone and Beam line. It matches great and we saved some money.

I own two of these (working on a third lol). The first was a gray 89" purchased in 2022 that we were using in our living room until the cognac became available. I ordered the cognac three weeks ago and it got here a few days ago. I don't know if this is only for the leather furniture or something they introduced in 2023, but the cognac version comes with a zipper halfway up the couch so you can zip the cushions to the couch to prevent the cushions from sagging. Absolute game changer!! That was many reviewers complaint and it looks like S&B listened. I didn't mind the sag, but I could see how people wouldn't like it. Not sure if this is a leather only feature, but it's a very nice addition. Overall we love these couches. They are huge, super comfy, easy to clean and high quality. I wash these cushion covers from my gray couch every few months, and it always comes out like new. No pilling for the fabric ever which was a problem for our other Amazon company couch, Rivet something or other. The leather looks legit from what I can see and it smells like it as well. Not sure if the couch itself is, but the cushions are definitely leather. Like I said, we are going to buy either the loveseat or the smaller couch in cognac once we get some more cash. If I could I would buy another for our loft, but the gray couch already takes up the whole room. I would say buy this couch if you want to put your head back and sink into heaven. It's meant to be comfortable and not for conversing with guests. Also, my mom slept on this one day when we had a bunch of family members over and she says it sleeps well so you can absolutely use the 89" as a backup bed.

Update: After living with this couch a couple of months I can still say I’m a fan. The only downside I’ve noticed is that if you sit directly in the middle there is quite a dip between the seat cushions so you’re kind of sitting in a hole . We added a medium sized old pillow and slid it all the way in the back for some more support. You can’t see it but it does help with firmness. I think you could also add a small piece of foam towards the back and it would help. After looking for couches at Ashley furniture, Haverty's, and many other furniture stores in our area we realized that we were never going to get a couch before December or even January. (8-14 weeks delivery time.) Because of that I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on this Stone and Beam couch. I'm so glad I took the risk! From the time I ordered it the couch was delivered in four days! The delivery process was exactly what I hoped it would be. I paid the extra $ to have the couch delivered into my house and it was totally worth the extra $20! The couch is delivered assembled in one, big box and it is a beast! The delivery men brought it in, set it up and removed the enormous packaging in about 6 min total. The couch is deep and comfy. The back cushions can be zipped in place or not. The seating cushions can be removed. It is real leather all over and smells like leather although not a strong smell. In my opinion the seat cushions are a medium firmness. I can't wait to complete this set!

Love it! I am a regular Amazon shopper and truly rely on the reviews of others when making a decision to purchase an item sight unseen, ESPECIALLY when that item is a piece of furniture or clothing, which I think is very important to "test out". With Amazon offering 30 days to try it out and free pickup and return if you don't like it, I figured we had nothing to lose, except for the hassle of the return process. I have purchased Amazon brands in the past for bedding and other home goods and was very pleased with the quality and value, so I took the leap of faith. Here is an itemized list of what I feel is most important to know. 1) The size... I know other reviewers have said it but this ottoman is HUGE! Just shy of 4 feet square. For us, this is perfect. We can have our feet up and both our dogs can be on it at the same time and not take any precious couch real estate. Just please understand, this thing is massive when comparing to your typical ottoman, although for us, that was a very welcome thing. 2) The fabric feels very soft, very durable, and truly does seem to resist pet hair and stains. We ordered a sample fabric swatch for $.50 prior to ordering and actually rubbed it on our dogs and not a single hair stuck. So far, this thing has require very minimal effort to clean. 3) The ottoman base and the cushion are separate pieces, which makes moving it in AND cleaning an absolute breeze. The top cushion section has a removable cover which is truly amazing for an item designed to hold feet, shoes, etc. Very welcomed surprise for us. 4) The color is very nice. It looks a little darker than the pictures appears online which is exactly what we were hoping for. 5) As far as "comfort" for the ottoman, it is very pleasant for your legs and feet but I would rate it on the middle of the firm/soft scale, where Amazon rates is as one notch from the softest. It definite has some stiff support under the initial layer of softness. All said, we had the ottoman for about 4 hours before I hopped on the Amazon app and ordered the matching sofa ;)

I've been looking for something new for the den. It had to be sturdy enough because it will be used all the time by my husband and me, and our 4 dogs. But it also had to be comfortable. I looked on Amazon on Prime Day and found this brand and style. I decided to take a chance because of the 30 day free return. I ordered the oversized chair, ottoman, and smaller couch in slate. This set exceeded my expectations! The cushions are firmer than I expected but still very comfortable. With my back problems, it still provides support. The material is soft without being hot, and it's so easy to clean and remove hair. 4 dogs, remember? The ottoman is huge. I knew it was 4ft square and would be sizable when I ordered it, but I can curl up with my dogs on it. Just keep this in mind if space is a concern. I only wish I got the larger couch as I would have the room to put it where I wanted. I love that the cushions stay put and don't move when you scoot forward to get up, so you don't have to keep fixing them. This furniture is very sturdy and well built. It is not cheaply made at all. I am more than pleased. Now for the negatives. The arms need a bit more padding as they are hard. I bought some throw pillows to make up for this. I also wish they had a few more colors. Slate and fawn are nice and versatile, but I would have liked something in a blueish color. The regular price is still a great price. I saved over $600 on Prime Day. I had no idea Amazon had their own brand of furniture. Don't hesitate to order because of the price. It's not reflective of the superior quality to chain furniture stores.

After reading every review , I nervously placed my order for The Lauren in Slate. I never dreamed I would order a sofa online but I went for it and I'm glad I did! Delivery day was 2 days later. I received both a text and a phone call from the delivery drivers letting me know when they would arrive. Delivery was on time and the communication from the drivers was helpful to give me an ETA. They unboxed the sofa outside and asked if I wanted them to take the box away. I opted to keep it in case I had to return the couch, but really I wanted to use it to make a fort for my cat (which I did....and he loved it!) They brought the couch in through my standard size front door with ease and set it down in the living room, exactly where I wanted it. The couch required no set up besides taking the plastic off the cushions. There was no smell and the couch looked amazing. The slate color is a great neutral grey and will work with any décor. The material is soft to the touch but not overly plush. Luckily I haven't had any spills or stains on it yet but it seems like it would clean up easily. The couch is really comfy and cozy while still being supportive. The depth is deep and it works great for me. For reference I am 5 feet tall and not a skinny person. My boyfriend, the cat and I all fit comfortably on the couch to snuggle up, nap and watch tv. The arms are flat which is nice for using a lap top or tablet. So far I am very happy with the purchase. I looked at similar sofas at my local furniture store and they were around $1500 not including tax and delivery. I purchased The Lauren for a total of $933 with taxes. I see the price has gone up a bit, but IMHO, it is so worth it. Given the return policy, you really can't go wrong. Go ahead...order it!

2023 Update : This chair is still perfect! Comfortable and my favorite chair. Still in great condition, easy to clean, love that the cushions are reversible! I rotate the cushions every few months just to fluff things up. Definitely my favorite purchase! READ FOR VERY DETAILED REVIEW : (Chocolate) Pros : • If you’re looking for deep seating.. this is has it. My son and I can easily snuggle up in the chair together, which we do often. I’m slightly overweight, and even with my kiddo sitting next to me, there’s plenty of room for me to fold my legs to the side and stretch out with extra space. • It is pretty firm, yet comfortable. My cousins have this chair and loveseat in a different color, so I was able to test them out beforehand. • Seems to be made of quality material. Easy to wipe clean and soft. The color is nice and the stitches seem good. No snags that I can find. • So far its a sturdy chair. My child likes to jump off furniture, and no creaks or other sounds have been made. • Arm rest is wide and can hold a bowl, my kids water bottle, or even my kid. • Cushions are removable, which will help the lifespan of the chair by flipping them. Cons : • Prices are inconsistent and keep going higher. My cousins spent only a little over 1k on their chair AND loveseat!! When I first looked at this chair, it was almost $600, then shot up to almost $800, and finally back down into the mid $500 range, so I jumped on it. Next day it went right back up to almost $800. It was only cheaper in chocolate, so that’s what I got. If I bought what I truly want (same combo as my cousins and in a different color), it would easily cost me almost 2K!! Which is a good amount more than what they paid only a few months ago. I’ll keep an eye out on price changes for the loveseat though.. Hoping it goes on sale for Prime Day or they go back to their lower prices! • Can be a little stiff after sitting in it for an entire movie, but it’s loosening up a bit with time and placing pillows against the armrest helps. • Bit of a strong off gassing smell for the first few days, but again, probably lasted longer because I kept it covered in plastic during the nights and some of the day. • It does sit pretty low, that’s not a con for me personally but thought it worth mentioning. • Possible inconsistent with manufacturing. My cousin sat in my chair the other day for the first time, and thinks her back is taller and said the chair even feels a little smaller? Nonetheless, we find both chairs to be mostly comparable and comfortable. I can’t speak for the long term quality of this chair, as I’ve only personally had it for a little over a week, and my cousins have only had theirs for a few months. But so far so good, and I’ll update my review if needed. I do keep plastic and a blanket over it when not in use, to protect from devil cats and dogs, so the quality will probably be preserved longer for me.
