No brainer, get it, I had no idea just how much I needed it!
I am obsessed with this thing. I've been doing work all over a new property we bought and I can't believe I've been working for months without this thing. I do so much with it - mostly cutting down smaller trees, big branches, overgrown vines, I feel like I need it attached to my belt, I'm constantly running back to the garage to grab it because every time I think I don't need it, I do. It does such a great job. And for the price it is a no brainer, everyone should have one in their garage! And maybe one in the car too. My boyfriend had no interest in it at first, because he had a co-worker that had something similar but it was really weak.... once he saw me using this he changed his tune and now he's obsessed with it too and we're constantly both needing it for different projects, I think I'm going to have to get 2! I am cutting down bamboo with it a lot, which is a very strong wood and it does great. It can get caught up with leaves but it is so simple to unscrew (no tools needed) and clear it out and screw it back on, or you can use this same thing to adjust the chain tension, which I've done a few times. It comes with a safety cover and the battery and charger. I keep it charging on a low shelf with the unit in a high shelf because my grandkids live here and it could definitely be dangerous in the wrong hands. I have never used a chain saw or any gas power tool. This is ideal for beginners it for experienced people who just want a quick easy cutting device - my son has a landscaping business and he's gonna love this thing. It is mini but mighty!

Amazing little tool, sharp and powerful
This thing kicks butt for it's size and almost looks like a toy. I used it on our smaller pindo palm and it went through the base of the fronds like butter. No hint of slowing down while cutting. Probably cut a dozen off and it is still showing full battery. It's small size made it easy to get to the base of the fronds. My only issue and it's my problem not the tool, is I'm a lefty and typical of chainsaws, they are made for right handers. The safety button is what made it a bit difficult. But it is so small and lightweight it was easy enough for a lefty to pull the trigger while depressing the safety button with the inner base of your index finger. It really is a little gem for small jobs.

This product needs more than 5 stars
This product needs more than 5 stars. I am amazed such a powerful and good chain saw at such an affordable budget. I saw all good reviews before buying and the product exceeded my expectations. I cut down almost 9 to10 foot tree that fell down in my backyard to pieces. The chain saw worked well the trunk of the tree wasn't very thick nor very thin and this chain saw did the job.

Surprising Value! Don't expect it to last...
Amazing value for $25! They even include oil and a cleaning brush! Fully charged it rigorously cut for 1-2 hours. Best for cutting 1"-2" max limbs. It can cut thicker diameter branches but it's hard on it - eats battery and it takes some patience because the motor doesn't have that much torque. It tossed the chain a couple of times, the bar system is playskool level quality and will certainly be the first part to give out. If you get one, be real careful with the bar, nut and tensioner, super, super weak point. The cover feels like it's only held on by 2 threads of the cover nut. Nonetheless, this is only $25! If it lasts for just a few sessions of work, it was worth it. It's already chopped 10,000x it's weight in honeySUCKle with surprising ease. It's a nice little weapon to use against that garbage plant but don't expect it to last under a heavier workload. I took off one star because I know the bar setup is NOT going to last and, should the bar survive, the rest probably won't last long for me either due to heavy use.

Best chain saw ever!
Hands down, the best tool I have ever owned! Powers through wooden tree stumps like no other tool I have ever used! An absolute steal for the price! Highly recommended!

I LOVE this chainsaw!
I have four groups of pygmy palms in my yard that are over 20 years old and have never had their trunks trimmed other than me pruning off dead palm fronds. I also have a large Mesquite tree that a landscaper quoted $400 to trim off the lower branches. I have been looking for a chainsaw that would let me do this work myself since I like working in the yard and saving money. I’m a 68 year old woman with no experience with this type of tool so I did my research. This Imoum Live 6” chainsaw is a perfect fit. It’s lightweight and EASY to hold and handle. The safety features gave me confidence and after a few minutes I got the hang of it. This tool easily cut through the very hard spines left from the pruning. The kit came with 2 batteries. A MAJOR plus so you can switch out a dead battery for a new one when you’re on a roll and want to keep working. After a little over an hour of working, the battery still had more than 3/4th charge left and I only quit because it was getting dark. I still need to do some finishing work on the trunks so I can shave them later plus tackle the remaining 3 groups of palms I have left then will trim up the mesquite tree. You can buy the extension pole for this chainsaw that I definitely will be buying for the taller limbs. Having the second battery charged and ready will insure I can work as long as I want. The enclosed instructions are pretty good and I read up on everything before I used it because I’m a novice. The chain came loose at the end and the tightener knob wasn’t working. The chain had come off the quide. It took me forever to figure out that I needed to completely unscrew the tightener knob in order to remove the cover plate because the instructions didn’t say to “turn counter clockwise to Remove the tightener/screw” only “turn counterclockwise.” Since this functions as the chain tightener (clockwise turn) it didn’t occur to me that I needed to keep turning it counterclockwise past the tight resistance (I didn’t know if I would break something). But once the cover was off, it was easy to reset the chain which had come off due to the wood debris that had collected under the plate but out of sight. The kit comes with a brush for cleaning and I recommend having a pair of needle nose pliers handy while using the chainsaw so you can remove small debris that you can see that collects right under the chain above the hand grip. The small design of this tool is perfect for any yard trimming of cactus, tree limbs, rose bushes, etc. It’s a real value price-wise as well. Can’t recommend it enough!

Avoid purchase until they fix this feature - Updated
Purchased this unit and went to work right away... its great.. Easy to use, good control with 1 hand safely. Ran into a heating issue when cutting up a stack of hard wood branches (1-4" diameter) as the six inch bar and chain can not dissipate the heat that well. Just modify activity to prevent overheating the chain and bar. Here is the issue... the chain will slack and you have to adjust it. This is done with a bizarre and, in my opinion, idiotic way that uses two small springs and a series of interlocking plates all held together with one small screw into the plastic body. How many times will you be able to adjust the screw with the plastic holding its threads? How quickly will these two week as hell springs get lost or deform? This needs to be re-designed with a set screw that is in metal, not the plastic body, and accessible once the cover is taken off. A properly tensioned chain is critical to the safe operation of a chain saw. Its a sub $100 tool and it shows it in the serious lack of design on this critical component. I would look elsewhere and look closely at the competitors for the same design flaw. Edit: I have 20 seasons cutting firewood in the Sierras with gas saws and blades 18" up to 48". There are two issues a chainsaw requires - sharp teeth and proper tension on the chain at all times. This is the first time I've seen a chainsaw have the tension dynamically controlled by a spring. The teeth on the chain will dull with usage. This will cause the chain to travel slower through the wood and if there is bark, then it will be of different densities which can cause a dull chain to grab and bind. If the chain has any ability to go slack, it will and will come off the main sprocket or out of the channel of the bar. This is why I dislike the spring driven tension design. However, I have obviously exceeded the design specifications for the tool ... as a weekend trimmer of branches or light duty tool for managing a branch pile, it is a great tool and very functional. Keep the teeth sharp (would recommend getting a real file not the one supplied) and the saw will be one of your best tools in my opinion.

Good for small do it yourself trimming jobs
Works ok. The chain comes off easily. The battery doesn’t last very long. Comes with two batteries, but that gives you maybe a couple of hours. If you change the battery and start charging the first one, the second one is going to die before the first one charges up. I think the chain needs changing on mine because it doesn’t seem sharp any more and is also very loose. I won’t tighten more, another reason I think it needs replacing. It comes with an extra chain, but be prepared to buy them often. I didn’t think I used mine very much but could be wrong, or but maybe it’s normal for chains to have a short life. If you are getting a pole attachment to trim things overhead and worried about weight, this is great. If you are going to be cutting things not overhead but are not wanting a heavy chainsaw, I would look at a bigger saw but a lighter weight one. My handyman uses a battery saw that looks like a small sized normal one. He let me pick it up, and I could handle it and it worked better than the mini saw. The mini saw works good for what it is. It is not a full size saw. This mini saw is good for small branches and small jobs. It isn’t good for any kind of branch or trunk that is small/medium, medium, or big. I wouldn’t recommend it for chopping down and cutting up anything more than small things. I’ve had to hire a professional to chop down trees and trim others. None of these battery things compare at all to the gas powered professional equipment. Same is true of blowers. Gas powered professional equipment is 100 times better. However, this is good for small trimming jobs.
