Do these tires have a rim protector built into the tire?

Not that I recall. These tires were for a Mercedes we no longer have so I can not check the tires at the this point. I know what you are talking about, the 'rim protector', and I do not recall this being a selling point or seeing the extra ridge on the face of the tire. The tires were great, though... I highly recommend.
