I never thought I’d get emotional over napkins—but here we are. When I ordered the Ramanta Home Cloth Dinner Napkins, I was simply looking for something reusable and clean-looking for family dinners. But when I opened the package and held one in my hands for the first time, I realized these napkins were more than I bargained for—in the best way. First impressions? Beautifully crisp white, but not a stark, sterile white. It’s warm and classic, the kind of white you imagine in a charming French bistro or on a wedding table. The cotton flax fabric has a lovely natural texture—soft, but structured, with just the right amount of body so it folds neatly and stays put when you dress the table. Then I noticed the details: hemstitched edges and mitered corners. These aren’t rushed factory finishes. These are the touches you expect from something handcrafted or boutique. They give the napkins a tailored, upscale feel that instantly elevated my table setting—even when all I was serving was soup and sandwiches. But beauty aside, what really won me over was how they performed. We’ve used them at casual family dinners, holiday meals, and even during a chaotic kids’ birthday brunch. They held up beautifully—no snagging, no fraying, and they washed like a dream. I was a little nervous about white fabric around spaghetti night, but with a little stain treatment and a warm wash, they came out looking fresh and clean again. I’ve used them enough times now to say confidently: these are built to last. There’s something lovely about the ritual of folding cloth napkins and setting them out. It slows you down, makes even a Tuesday night feel like a small occasion. And somehow, these napkins encourage that. They’re not just linens; they’re part of the atmosphere. If you’re debating whether to make the switch from paper to cloth—do it. If you already use cloth and want something that feels just a bit more refined, this set is a wonderful choice. These napkins are soft. The way they are constructed allows the soft fabric to retain its square shape. The stitching is neat and accurate. The flax color is natural and welcoming. These are 100% cotton and require ironing, but it’s easy and worth it.

These are so cute and a great material! However because of the material, I would not say they are absorbent at all! The border is very sturdy and does not seem cheap at all

These were nice to get in bulk but, they aren’t super fancy. The material is thin and it’s not a flat white. There are rainbow stitches sprinkled throughout the fabric. The little edge detail is cute. Since they are thin there’s limited folding options because of the lack of structure. I ironed the fold lines out and they stayed pressed. They are not all perfectly square we noticed as we were folding them. A few got stains on them and washed out fine. Overall, a napkin is a napkin but this is not an elevated napkin.

These will shrink around the edge and come out of the laundry wrinkled, a lot. If you do not know how to iron or don't want to, send them to the cleaners for ironing after you wash them. Or, don't buy these, get a polyester that will not be absorbent. If you want a nice napkin after you wash it, do this: Fill a spray bottle with water. Lay out each napkin and spray it with a mist of water, enough to make it damp. Fold or roll it up after spraying and put it in a plastic bag. Do this until you have all the cotton or linen items that you wish to iron. Place the bag, tied shut, in the fridge for up to two days, 24 hours is best. This will disperse the dampness throughout the fabric. When the fabric is damp all the way through, take it out of the fridge and iron it as follows: Fill your iron with water and preheat it to the Cotton or Linen setting. Have your spray bottle of water, sizing or starch handy. First, iron around the edge with the trim facing up, pressing down with the iron, and stretching the edges until they are flat. Flip it over and do the back side too. Second, do the center of the fabric. Flip it and do the front last. If the fabric is too soft and you want it crisp, spray the fabric with sizing or starch as you iron. You want to iron the fabric with lots of steam. Iron it until it feels dry. Once ironed, pile the napkins on a flat surface and let them sit out in the open a few minutes to disperse any remaining moisture. If desired, you can fold them after. If they are too soft, you can use spray fabric sizing or spray starch in place of the water when ironing. Sizing is better as it does not create flakes like starch can do. This will help when you are folding a napkin to stand up. You can iron any piece of clothing this way that is made of Cotton, Wool, or Linen. It takes practice and square flat items are good for that. Don't add starch to wool, sizing is better. These are the real deal, so they take some care and look beautiful for many years. They actually look and the touch/feel is better after washing and ironing. I despise synthetics for any use in the kitchen and dining room. They are useless when it comes to absorbency and heat resistance.

Mala calidad... como sabrán estas servilletas de tela se lavan después de cada cena.. sino vaya cerdada. Pues no se pueden lavar, se llenan de pelusas... pero desde el primer lavado quedan feisimos después en la mesa... Pero feos feos feos... no lo recomiendo nada, dienero tierado a la basura, de haberlo sabido no lo compraba ni loca.

These are good quality everyday cotton napkins. They washed up well and didn’t shrink. They are cotton so will crease if tumble dried, less so with line drying, but I still iron them (while slightly damp if tumble dried) as I prefer them to look tidy. They are a nice size and are made well, one or two edges were not quite perfectly straight but it’s hardly noticeable. We have several sets of cotton napkins in an assortment of colours and patterns. I like these black ones as they don’t stain. As a family we use them daily and have no issues at all. Good price for 12. Delivery was as expected. They do soften up the more they are washed, initially they were quite stiff. Very happy with the purchase. Am buying more in red.
