Fabulous Game
Delivery time was longer than expected but the game was in perfect condition and we love playing it, ages 6 up are enjoying it. so far we have played every day! Very well designed game for the family. Keeps you interested and engaged. Highly reccomend it. Price on amazon was better than high street. The pieces in this game are nicely designed and large for small hands. Play time is short around ten minutes. We have added in our own twist where when the build coin is turned over instead of just switching two coins as per the rules we reshuffle all coins so no one has an idea where the build coin is. Love this game, will get adult version at some stage.

Great game for kids. Ours are a few months shy of 5 years old and understood the game after one go. They love it!

My daughter absolutly loves this
We brought my daughter a few board games for her 4th birthday and she latched onto this one (over Gruffalo and Going on a bear hunt). She loves the memory aspect of finding the places to go and collecting all the resources to build houses. The chunky realness of the wooden counters and having your own village stand. We have had this a month and she wants to play it everyday (more than use her ipad).

Fantastic Euro style game that we can all enjoy together
Absolutely brilliant game. My husband and I love euro boardgames such as Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne and ticket to ride. We are always on the look out for games to play with our kids that are not only fun for the kids but also for ourselves. This game is great as it introduces the idea of collecting the specific resources needed in order to build huts. It also requires you to use your memory, as rather than a dice, you have the circular discs around the board that you flip in order to reveal how many spaces you move or which resource spot you will move directly to. When someone builds a hut the discs all flip back over but largely remain in the same spaces. You can try to use your memory to remember which disc is which, so plan ahead which resources you need. You also get the opportunity to switch a two of the discs around whenever you build, so that can make things tricky for everyone. There is a trading point where you can swap resources and also a wild dog card that can represent any resource you need. It plays really well and we have really enjoyed playing this with the kids (and if I'm honest once or twice without the kids!). Our son who is 5 grasps the concept easily and our 3 year old is able to join in too if we give him help along the way which works really well. A game takes about 15 minutes so spot on for this age group. I would say that this is a great introduction for Euro style games for the kids. It's so lovely to play a game that we can all enjoy.

Great family game!
Purchased this for grandchildren ages 7 and 9. Even the 4 year-old could play if teamed up with grandma or grandpa. We enjoyed multiple games over the Christmas holidays. Games last 15-30 minutes with no one getting bored. Players can learn strategy for acquiring the items necessary to build a settlement. There is also a memory game component. Fun for kids and adults!

Fun easy to play the whole family will love.
If you have kids. This is the game you want. So much fun for the younger kids. We have stoneage and my boys love it. But it is a longer game. Thos game is quick and very simple to play but creates alot of laughs. So worth purchasing for my boys.

Engaging and Fun
Great purchase! Fun game to play with my grandson. It has just enough complexity to make it engaging and fun for my five year-old. The game are short - 15-20 minutes - and fun for the adults, too. Well constructed, nice wooden pieces, great artwork. A happy find.

Just has fun as the real deal
This is more like a memory game in my opinion but still a big hit with the 5 year olds :)

Great supplement to learn and chat about prehistoric people for early childhood
Great intro to strategy for kids. We already love Carcassonne Junior so this seemed a great idea. We have over 20 board games and I play them often with my now 6 year old as part of his homeschool day. Its amazing what kids learn playing games (pictionary was the catalyst to read, Skipbo for number sequencing, and many others). We received this one (my son actually chose to buy it out of money he earned) just as we were covering nomads and early farmers in our Ancient history text (The Story of the World Volume 1: Ancient Times). The timing was perfect as we had discussions about all the resources. I could tell he was internalizing the information in a way he would not with just the text, workbook, and even a video we had added. Great supplement and fun too! I will say that this game will probably only be fun for a couple of years before he will be ready to play the adult version labled 13 and up. For now we are very pleased. The price was steep for a board game, but it is very high quality and we can sell it when we are done to another homeschool family. Before we ordered it, we watched a great review of the game on the dice towet on you tube so we knew what we were getting.
