Decent slider for the price.
There’s no logo on the center anymore(per some pictures), for some reason. Anyway. Magnets aren’t as strong as the more expensive sliders(and this is already expensive according to other reviews) but since the body’s carbon fiber, it’s not too heavy that half of it wants to fall apart from the other. I got the option which has the mutes, and they do make a difference. The silence and lightness does reduce the fidgeting experience a little imo. Even with silencers the slider will clap if you push the surfaces together with enough force/magnets touching at once. As I said the magnets are on the weaker side, and swivels will have to be done with some finesse or the slider will split up. If you prioritize some quietness and lightness in your slider, I recommend this. Idk about comments regarding teflon plates degrading. I don’t really press the plates that hard against each other, if you play sliders like this I suggest getting steel plates typical of more costly sliders.

My background / fidget need I've not been diagnosed with any autism or similar, though I have many similar tendencies including extreme sensitivity to sound and some textures. For over 20 years (since I was a small kid), I've turned the pages of a book as I was reading. It was the only thing that really made the reading stick in my brain. Reading without this kind of fidgeting just wouldn't register for me. I read a lot. Probably more than most. Every book that I've read has these excessively worn corners from my page turning, AND it creates a tremendous amount of paper dust that has actually ruined some of my keyboards. The paper dust also just creates this tremendous mess which I cannot stand. Thus, I finally decided to try and replace the page turning with something that had different / fewer downsides. My experience with alternatives Fidget spinners make zero sense to me. I guess you push a button, and the kinetics are driven by a battery. Nope. I've used the Antsy Labs Fidget Cube, and I generally like it. It's quiet enough for use in meetings at work. However, I finally figured out that I need to better simulate the actual finger movements I was doing (which is basically rubbing something between thumb and index fingers repeatedly). The Fidget Cube doesn't really suit this need, so it's not an ideal solution. My experience with this product Allows me to perform similar finger movements that I do when turning pages. For this reason, I've taken to this fidget toy much better than with the Fidget Cube. The magnets work well, hand stress/tiring is minimal, and the item performs its advertised actions well. It seems like it's got decent quality, though it strikes me as pricey for what it is. It makes sense for me, because it's so a close alternative to my kind of fidgeting which would otherwise be ruining books and creating a mess. Your mileage may vary. The only drawback is how loud it is (If anyone knows of a quieter one of these, please let me know in the questions section!!). This will probably be obnoxious to coworkers in an open office (if they're within 10-15 feet of you) and it is too loud for meetings. You don't want to be "that guy (or girl)". So for now, I use this item when I'm alone and in the Fidget Cube in quieter spaces. Considering a spinner ring for quiet. We'll see...

Really happy with this slider so far! Slides nice and smooth without causing any hand fatigue and the magnets have a really addictive feel and sound feedback. It is a bit noisy, but not as loud as others I've tried. The version with the metal cut out design on top comes with a tool and rubber pieces that you can make it quieter if you prefer. I can't believe how many people there are here complaining about it being noisy when they could change that if they paid even a small amount of attention. It's made with a really good design putting the more powerful magnets on the corners which allows the halves to make quick snappy turns without coming apart. There is a slight design flaw IMO, with the ones that have the cut out design on top. The smooth nameplate area is right in the center where your thumb pad goes, sometimes making it difficult to break the magnets hold because there's no texture to get a grip. I also bought one of the red "fiber lid" ones and it is much easier to get a grip and slide. Though keep in mind that version can't be made quiet like the others can. I can't comment on the durability yet as I have only had it a few days, but so far so good. Aside from the minor grip issue with the one version, this fidget slider is fantastic! I haven't been able to put it down since I got it! Edit: In my opinion, at least with the carbon fiber version, it works better if you remove the tape. It takes a little time of each side rubbing together to wear in, but once it does it's much better. It still slides smoothly but the magnets hold much better. Occasionally it may start sticking from oils or sweat on your hands but just needs wiped off if it does.

I'm not one to typically write reviews but I love this toy. originally I got the cheap carbon fiber version (bought a bunch of different figet toys to find what works for me) and wasn't expecting much out of it. Got super surprised that out of the ones I have this one is by far what I find myself reaching for. It can be played with in a lot of different ways and has skill expression, having it fall like a Jacobs ladder was really hard at first now it just happens. I put the rubber silencer pieces in, which was very easy, and they work great. Even with them in you can get satisfying clicks or with some thumb pressure its nearly silent. I ended up buying the glass fiber blue (pretty sure its the same damacarta i have on some knives) and I like the feel of it more then the carbon fiber. it also makes a different click noise, more like wood tapping then plastic tapping, which I also like. If I had one complaint its only that the faceplate only has a gold version and it'd be nice to have other colors for it, the back side of the plate is all black but with how the screw setting is you cant just reverse it to that side, which would have been a cool option. Only had both of these for a few weeks so I cant say much for wear and tear but the fidget factor for me is 100%

Have had for a day. I got it to try and keep from picking at nails. So far it has worked when I have it on me. I read reviews about it being noisy. I was happy to see it came with the small rubber spacers. It goes from noisy to silent. I want to be able to use this durning business meetings. I think it will work. One note. If inserting the spacers to silence, fully read the instructions. I didn’t keep the halves together after removing the screws. Magnets flew out and took a bit to get back in. Tried without the pads on for a bit. Didn’t like that. So put the extra pads on. It slides nicely. It has been helping me so far. I look forward to it continuing this. The reason for the four stars, is that the magnets could be a bit stronger. I want to use this in the car. And worried about the halves coming apart. I was driving today and it happened. Half of it fell under my seat, and no good places to stop to find it. I think i will get use to it and that shouldn’t happen too much. Going to continue to use. Over all, a good product. I would recommend. Update:: Ok so have been using for just about a week. I will take back my comment about the magnet strength. Once I got a flow down for spinning the pieces, the magnet strength was never an issue. It is also helping distract me from picking at my nails. I have nails growing on all fingers now for the first time in decades. I am going to leave the 4 star, for one small issue. After the week of use, both teflon films are showing wear. May need to replace soon as I feel the friction. I haven’t looked, but hopefully I can find more of these Teflon stickers
