Great for beginners! Hardens quickly and strong. Easily self-levels. The top coat is amazing on any kind of gel polish.... the clear builder works amazing to add thickness to colored builder gels so that you don't have to use a ton of the colored. Plus, with the base coat, no issues with heat spikes for me :) Love it! 10 out of 10

I’ve been using this peel off gel base for several months now, pretty consistently underneath both gel polish and also under my gel extensions. It took a while of trial and error for me to get to where this product performs really well for me. I can now get my nails to last over a week, about two weeks without issues lifting. Removes clean everytime.My tips:Don’t apply it too thick. The gel is quite viscous, and is prone to flooding your cuticles and sidewalls. If you cure it like that, you’ll end up with a flap that sticks up and it will lift there. Brush the base on as thin as possible - don’t worry about streaks or ripples from being too thin as this formula does a good job of leveling out quickly.Flash cure as you go. This formula is really prone to spreading and when it hits the heat of your nail beds it really wants to go everywhere. Instead of doing a whole hand and then curing in the lamp, I’ve taken to flash curing with a small lamp or even just sticking my hand in the lamp for 10 secs every two nails or so. This keeps everything in place and then I cure it for the full time after I finish the last finger on a hand.I wipe the sticky layer after curing with alcohol and a lint free wipe. I find the inhibition layer doesn’t play nice with certain gel formulas, causing some formulas to bead up or recede from edges. It’s weird, I feel like the longevity of this base really improved when I started doing this, but it could be a coincidence.For just gel polish, I apply a good layer of leveling gel or builder before color as it adds a little bit of bulk, making removal easier. When I apply just a few coats of gel and then a top coat, the gel isn’t thick enough to peel off nicely and always tears and flakes and it takes forever to pick it all off.I always brush on plenty of cuticle oil before removing. I find it helps everything come off in big sheets, plus it’s good for your nails so why not.

I have to say, I’m super impressed. This does what it says it’s going to do, peels off neatly and without damage, but lasts quite a while if you want it to. In the photo above, I’m on day 6 and it’s showing no signs of lifting (and I swim, garden, do dishes, etc). I stayed away from gel polish before because I didn’t want the hassle of removal (and had tried one peelable base coat that was a messy disaster - but this is so much different. The fact that you need to cure it makes the difference I think. It turns your gel polish into the texture of a Dashing Diva strip. Awesome stuff.

Unfortunately these peel off quite easily, but it might be my nails. I ordered the base and top coat too, but they don’t last long at all.

Durable, long lasting no chipping or peeling. Mani lasted 2 weeks.

While I've found other Gellen gel polishes thin, this base/matte/top trio is the bomb. The star here is the matte top coat. It goes on well and looks awesome dry.

The nail builder was an excellent idea and I had high hopes for it, but I’ve tried it a few times now and no matter what I do, the nail builder just falls off like some cheap nail glue. I wanted to return it, less than 30 days since I bought it, but was immediately told it isn’t eligible for a return. I guess I goofed that it didn’t say free returns. The top coat is nice at least. The other two bottles are a waste of money. I will not buy it again.

I was looking for a peel off base because I tend to paint my nails differently every week. I tried it today and it was very easy to use. A bit thick but I do like it, and it’s very easy to remove.
