Great value. The recorder works better than the more expensive one that I previously used.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother in a nursing home. I don't know if it works but they've got the entire staff talking about how haunted the kitchen is etc. Worth it no matter if they work or not.

The cat balls are fine. The recorder feels cheap and sounds cheap too. Which I was prepared for, seeing how this bundle was fairly cheap and I just wanted to mess with some friends while ghost hunting. The recorders size does make it very portable, I often just shoved it in my pocket. The functionality of both seems to work well enough. Though were skeptical about the recorder, since the audio is so bad, it's hard to actually hear if anything happened. We did get a ghost to light up a cat ball though. That was kinda freaky since it was on command.. but hey! This set works well enough, but if you do buy, you may have to upgrade the recorder!

My son and i have taken these to 2 cemeteries and they've gone off in each one, though not all of the time. We think they are nest and the fact they don't always go off makes us think they work.

The recorder is so small I thought it was missing in the order. I agree with the other posters this feels more like a cat toy kit.
