Perfect for my little Yorkie; she had back surgery and this product was excellent at helping her heal. Fits snugly (bear in mind there are various sizes) and my puppy was a bit reluctant to wear it but we persisted. Poppers help keep it secure but weren't necessary for our pup and she didn't really mind wearing it. It was quite lightweight and is pretty smart looking too - even better was the hole for a lead so we could still take her for a walk. All in all, a good product, well made and great quality too - but there are cheaper alternatives on the market.

...or even an inflatable collar. I used this after my dog was neutered. I must admit I had concerns that he would try to scratch or bite his stitches through it, but he hasn't showed the slightest interest in doing so. He is so much more comfortable than he would be in a cone and his wound has healed beautifully, being fully protected under the suit. So easy to undo and just roll up at the back for trips to the garden. Will definitely be keeping in case he ever needs it in future (though of course hoping not). Great to get it on Amazon for about £10 cheaper than the vets too. Washed a couple of times and it came up beautifully. Re sizing, Teddy is a 11.4kg Tibetan Terrier, back length 48cm and the small size fitted perfectly.

Bought this for our girl who was being spayed. Cannot recommend it enough. Fits well, slight stretch when putting on the dog, light weight but great fabric, easy to put on and the rear part can easily be rolled up to allow the dog to toilet. Our dog ( clumber spaniel ) is quite long in her back so jumpers etc usually are to short or overly long, this vest tho is a perfect fit. Washes great. Dog seems very comfortable wearing the vest with no restrictions to movement. Dog doesn't overheat when wearing even in the house with heating on. Doesn't come undone when dog is itching the surgery area. Definitely recommend. Great value for money and definitely is better than the traditional cone.

Ok - lovely make and fit for a stocky dog as this stretches but still holds firm. It is a good quality jersey t-shirt fabric which washes lovely. Its very nicely sewn and good quality stitching so doesnt snag or split with use. For surgery that you have cover over, it works fine. Also surgical areas that are slightly open and weeping this fabric doesnt stick to the wound so better than anything in that regard. However....... while it fastens great and doesnt ride up (which is also a really good bonus for long term use), that does mean peeing is a real issue if the dog doesnt give much warning. With a dog that gives warning and you can pop it open easy then great. However with a dog thats had intensive surgery (such as ours who had spinal surgery) where you have a lot going on and you need support, using support over the top of this and then struggling to pop open buttons and leave room for urination is a bit tricky. For that reason and that there could have been a hole here for the male dog anatomy, i've taken a star off, but nonetheless a good quality product for other injury sites you dont want the dog to try and scratch or nibble at, and far better than a plastic cone!

I don't often bother to write reviews but felt compelled to write about this product. It's brilliant! I had my dog spayed and she wouldn't leave the wound alone. My previous dogs have never bothered with their spay wound so much as this one! Had to wear the 'cone of shame' permanently, the minute it was removed she'd be straight round worrying the area. Despite my constant vigilance she got an infection in it and was back on antibiotics. To compound the problem my older dog hated her in it as she crashed and bashed about and I had to separate and watch them constantly. Tried making something similar from a Tshirt but she still managed to get at the wound! Then I spotted the Medical Pet Shirt....what a brilliant product! Really well designed, good quality material and poppers look as if they'll last. Easy to un-pop for toilet trips. Sizing chart was spot on (a medium fitted my female border collie perfectly) and two sets of poppers to make a further adjustment. Slightly looser underneath so air can still get at the wound to heal it. Only a couple of things I'd say; your dog has to be happy with you pulling it over it's head and lifting and putting legs through as it's a snug fit. My dog's very biddable so didn't mind. Also I still use the cone at night because I'm sure if she was determined enough without supervision she could chew through the material, although it's remarkable when she's wearing it she has shown no signs of bothering the area at all! Peace restored in the household, the bruises on the backs of my legs are disappearing (from being bashed with the cone!) my dog is so much happier AND the wound is healing fast! Just wish I'd had it from the start when she came back from the vet.

Initially I was slightly skeptical as to whether the suit would be comfortable and easy to use. We tried the suit on a couple of times before it was needed to try to get her used to it but she wasn't very keen on it. However, I can safely say I was worrying for no reason. The vet put the suit on her after the operation and as she started her recovery she was perfextly happy. We unbuttoned the back rather than rolling it up we just fastened it to the side and tucked it under so she could toilet. One week on and she is still wearing the suit at night and to go outside to protect her wound. She is very happy to have the suit placed over her head and then we do paw for each leg. It is nice and stretchy so easy to get on and off. The quality is definitely better than I anticipated and washes well. It is a well thought through item with a pouch for a sanitary towel if needed, connectors for a collar and a stitched gap which can be opened for an IV line if required. Our pup is a 13mth old lab and at 23kg she is quite small and measured 58cm so we bought a M. Although there would be room for a wider dog it is pretty snug from top to tail but not too tight. I can wholeheartedly recommend this suit and would not contemplate trying to use a plastic cone again.

Sitzt super und ist einfach zum anziehen! Der Stoff ist auch sehr weich, sodass er nirgends kratzt oder ähnliches! Die Verarbeitung ist auch gut :)

Product geleverd dinsdag ipv maandag. Gelukkig hebben we het niet direct nodig gehad. We hebben op advies van anderen maat strakker genomen. M ipv M+ wat ik zou nemen. Zit goed strak. We gaan het gebruiken voor afspenen. Teef geeft geen melk meer, maar puppies blijven zoeken. Onze hond is 32 kg en heeft ruglengte van ongeveer 60 cm.
