BEST LEARNING i-Poster My USA - Interactive Talking US Map for Kids

I ordered this as a birthday gift for my 5 year old niece who recently went on her first airplane ride and loved it so much, that she kept asking to go on another vacation and see other places in the world. So we bought her the "My USA Map" thinking that it would be a good gift and learning opportunity. Although I received confirmations from Amazon and the vendor showing pictures and descriptions of the correct product, unfortunately I received the "My Body" from the same company (Best Learning). I wrote to the vendor via Amazon, and quickly received a response from a very sympathetic agent. Although she tried to rectify the issue by requesting Amazon to resend the correct product overnight, unfortunately I again received "My Body". After contacting Amazon directly, they confirmed they have an issue with their inventory, and removed the product temporarily to try and fix the problem. In the mean time the vendor arranged to ship me one of the correct games directly from their factory, as opposed to going through their typical Amazon distribution. So although I can't comment yet on the "My USA Map," as I didn't have a chance to give it to my niece, I can comment on the "My Body", as we ended up needing to give this as an interim gift. She absolutely loved it. Although the description lists the actual size of the pages, for some reason from the pictures on the box, I was expected 4 small posters, maybe 8x10". But much to our surprise they were much larger (not too large, maybe ~18"x20"). Once she pushed the on button, she was quickly entertained and fixated on the toy. She could press the buttons on the different body parts and the voice would announce what she was looking at. There was also some quizzes which she liked. The easy quiz simply required her to press the name of the body part, such as where is your knee. So it forced her to try and read and guess where to look based on where she thought the body part was located on her own body. The hard, was too advanced for her at this age, but seemed very good in that it asked which part does what, such as which body part allows you to smell? Although the instructions didn't clearly say how to change the pages and see other body parts, it ended up being easy (although I originally thought we had to unscrew the computer from the first page and reconnect the others. (This would have been a real pain). Instead we discovered the new page simply needed to be laid on top of the original sheet with the electronics up top, allowing the magnets to engage. Once you pressed the "GO" button, the computer quickly changed to the new sheet. Was impressive, and it seems like well constructed pages. Once the correct product arrives and I see my niece again to give the gift to her, I will try to review again. In the meantime, although Amazon had an issue with their inventory system, I was very impressed with the level of customer support the vendor provided, and the quality of the product seems very good!.

My kids(5 & 9) absolutely love this map! They're having a blast with it! As soon as they came home and saw the bright colorful box they blurted out enthusiastically, "What's that?!" After installing the included batteries and starting it up they played with it for hours and have everyday so far. It works perfectly, the voice is clear and concise and it even has a volume feature(which every parent knows is a necessity lol)! My 9 year old knows the states so she loves using the quiz feature to challenge herself. My 5 year old pushes all the states to learn them and all the info on each state. They both were thrilled about the national anthem being sang! The only suggestions I have to make this even better are 1) rewrite "Atlantic Ocean" on the map to make it more legible (the way the letters are stacked is confusing for kids) and 2) make the touch pads a little more sensitive(my 5 year old struggled a little to find the right spots to push on each state) children have small, soft fingers so it's harder for them. Other than that this is a fantastic educational tool and it shipped quickly. I can't wait to use it for schooling this year!! Thanks!

This map is great. My 4 & 5 year old boys LOVE this map. It's fun and interactive. Easy to hang, only issue is that the part that hangs is in the middle, and the sides fall over. Fixed with command strips.

Okay I'll be honest, I couldn't tell if this was going to come as a huge cumbersome toy that I would regret buying because of the space it would take up...or if I was going to get some cheap foreign item that only vaguely matches the pictures/description.... I was so pleasantly surprised. This map is pretty cool! it is foldable, and arrives in a box that was thought out for safe and easy storage. It requires batteries, which were included. I is like a giant touch pad for my kids to learn from. It is sensitive enough to not be frustrating to use, but also to lay down and use about anywhere. We have used it laying out on a hard table, and on soft carpet and it works wonderfully. It has multiple volume settings that I appreciate, and the information is interesting and presented in a captivating way to keep the kids into it. Great learning tool, and a good addition for any household wanting to learn more about the USA.

My 6-year-old son is absolutely obsessed with this map and I couldn't be happier. He turns it on every single day and enjoys doing the quiz the most. I wanted him to learn about US geography as early as possible and I am very pleased with how much information he has already absorbed from playing with this map. It makes learning fun and dynamic for him, which definitely helps because he has ADHD. I love how he can spend anywhere between 10-30 minutes 'playing' with it on his wall. Getting the answers right during the quiz seems to excite him, so I also encourage him by telling him how smart he is when he does. This is a great buy, parents. A learning tool disguised as a toy. Perfect!

Well, I'm disappointed. I read through the reviews prior to ordering and this seemed like a great gift for my 6 year old. There was a review from March 23, 2019 that caught my eye noting that Iowa was pictured with potatoes, instead of corn. It looked like the correction was going to be made going forward. So, it's 7 YEARS later and the map still has not been updated/corrected????? I think you could do better after this was flagged for you. Maybe I'm the unlucky one that just keeps getting an old recycled map? I'm on the fence whether I'm keeping or sending back. I know this is a pretty small issue but when you know, it's hard to overlook it. I gave the map the benefit of the doubt and installed batteries to try it out. t does show a lot of potential but often some of the 10 functional buttons don't always give you the correct selection. I pressed the "info" button and most of the time got the "climate" choice. The "quiz" button sometimes makes the "fun facts" choice. I emailed the company directly about the Iowa misprint and they responded back quickly, I replied back about the button issue and have not received a response. Here is the company's response to the misprint: You're right, and we're sorry for the confusion. The Iowa illustration hasn't been corrected in the current version of the i-Poster My USA, and the same version is sold across all channels including our website. We do have it noted as a fix for the next product update, but we don't have a timeline on that just yet. We hope this doesn't take away too much from the experience — the map still covers all 50 states with over 500 facts and is a great learning tool overall. That said, we completely understand if this is a dealbreaker and are happy to help if you'd like to discuss your options.

My kids love this. They had just learned the song for all the states and now they can see and find where they are on the map!

After taking a road trip to Florida, my kids are absolutely fascinated with the US. This interactive map has quickly become one of their favourite things to play with, helping them learn more about the states. It's a pretty neat supplementary resource for teaching US geography.

This electronic map comes with batteries preinstalled. We hung it with one nail and some tape on the wall underneath my son's world map. This map is interactive and asks the question "which state is?" And then fills in the question with something like "known as the Garden state?" And it gives you three chances to answer correctly before moving on to the next question. Being Canadian, we were stumped on many of the questions but we also learned a lot. It does become a little annoying with always saying "which state is?". It becomes repetitive quickly. At least it has a volume control, so it doesn't have to annoy the whole house. Overall, I think it's a pretty cool learning tool. I would love to see a Canadian version or even a world version.

The I-Poster-My-USA interactive map by BEST LEARNING is a great gift idea for little kids. They can learn about basic information, climate, fun facts about the 50 states by using their memory and problem-solving skills. My nephew loves spreading this map on the floor and pointing to the different states and learning their name. This is a great-sized map with such visually-appealing colors. The words are easy to see and read which is great for little kids. My nephew feels so accomplished when he gets the states right and pushes him to learn more and more! A win-win situation! I love that this map also plays music and has really good beats. I would totally recommend this toy for kids who love to learn!
