Good little rule
Accurate, neat, well etched. Excellent replacement for my old rule (lost.) No issue at all with the quality. However, as others have pointed out, 3 of the 4 illustrations are of a different iteration of the rule. The current one is not "Made in England" and does not have the non reflective chrome finish stated in the description.

Top quality.
I'm now on my third one and will continue to buy these. I am very abusive towards my rules, and these are the ones I've found to stand up to it the best. They're a rule, a swarf clearing stick, a deburring tool, and a cleaning tool. Excellent quality and value. Flexible enough to get it where you need it, and rigid enough to do all the other things I need it for.

Probably the best '6 inch' engineers rule
Funnily enough, these no longer say 'Chrome' on them. Maybe Rabone have found some more ecological way to make them rustless. They have a nice fine-ground finish with highly precise slightly embossed marking, so should be legible for a long long time.

What a delight...
If you appreciate fine engineering and want something that is obviously not made 'over there', this is it. What a fine piece of craftsmanship. I would probably pay more for such fine workmanship. It even has a hole to hang it so it won't get smashed up lying on the work-bench, and is professional enough to say 'Standard at 20oC' -- yes, those of us who are engineers will appreciate that, and the other notes: "1 Metre = 39.37in." "1 inch = 25.4mm." Complete with periods after the abbreviations! This ruler is a work of art "Made in England". I think I will visit their website and see what else they have that I can justify buying. Feels so nice to buy something not made in you-know-where by slave-labour.

Running a name into the ground, bad quality
Quality is poor, not made in England, or if it is I am really embarrassed to be English. Etchings are not...etched. it's printed apparently, my scales had gaps,. I have an original 1995 issue and the differences are stark. Scale wrong, major metric markins are in cm not mm (like original) 1 instead of 10 etc. cheap thin steel which has a lower yield point (permenantly bends easily). I knew this was fishy but blew myself in the foot. Got a refund without having to return so I am certain they know of irregularities. I gave it to my nephew for his pencil case. Not Rabone, Rabone is dead apparently and the corpse picked clean.

Not as Advertised
The Amazon photograph shows the ruler engraved "Rustless Chrome Face". The ruler received is engraved "Rustless". The chrome face version, which I've bought previously, has a satin "white" chrome finish which is in my view superior. The one received has a natural stainless steel finish which is not so easy to read and is not really noticeably better than cheaper unbranded types also available on Amazon. Not sure if the Rabone brand has reduced the quality of its product or if there are two versions. If I'd known, I would have bought a Fisher ruler as their brand still uses in the white chrome finish.

Not Quite Machinist's Quality, But Great For The Road
This isn't a machinist's rule like a Starrett or the like, but certainly fantastic for the price and my intended use. This can easily travel with me in a coat pocket without me worrying about losing a precision tool, yet be more than good enough to measure to 0.5 mm. For those of us who still have to deal with inches, the "normal" 1/16, 1/32, 1/64 scale is augmented by 1/10, 1/20, 1/50, 1/100 on the inch side as well. I might have to grab another before I head back home to the US!

Quality is declining.
Poor quality compared to a proper English made radbones of the past. Etching is thick and not as fine as it should be.

très bonne qualité, vraiment très satisfait pour cet achat, mais vue que seize euros de prix, c'est le plus cher regle que j'avais acheté!

Note central picture on Amazon site. I paid 2 1/2 x extra for what I thought would be a "Stanley" product, "Made in England" and "Chrome Face" as indicated by the advertised product, central picture. All three are absent. There is a "Rabone" stamp see shared picture below, but country of origin and "Chrome Face" are suspiciously missing from received product, making me believe they don't want you to know it isn't produced in a reliable country, like England. So, quality of material is suspect... considering I paid a LOT more for this than is readily available on Amazon, this is a very disappointing purchase.

In the pics for item posted by the seller the item shown is marked with 'Chrome Face' but the item received is the 'Chrome Face' version. I like the style and quality of the ruler and decided to keep the version that was sent but I wonder if the Chrome Face version shown in the seller's pics is even available.
