A Great Bow at four times the price!
I'm 62 and an experienced instinctive recurve shooter/hunter from the era of Howard Hill and Fred Bear. Most of my recurve shooting has been with a Bear Cub and Bear Kodiak. This Bow is made and shoots very much like a Kodiak Supreme. My mind is blown about the quality, beauty and function of this bow and the value of the kit. The beauty and quality of the bow and string are the equivalent of an $800 to $1k custom bow. The kit is great. The arrows and tips are the right length, spline and weight for the bow. The glove an wrist guard are usable. The string is a very nice flemish twist string and the silencers are high quality and easy to install. I had the nock installed and bow set up and strung in 15 minutes. I bought the 55# bow for deer hunting and my draw is about 30 inches. This bow is the right weight for me at my age. In my youth I may have ordered the 60# bow. I have about 500 arrows through the bow in two days and love it. It's fast and accurate and should take a deer out to 35 or 40 yards. The graphite arrows fly well so I ordered some premium 400 spline arrows and matching broad heads. The cedar arrows I have which work well in my 45# Bear Cub "porpuise' from shaft flex in the 55# bow. This bow requires cedar arrows with stiffer splines. A great bow at any price and an incredible value with the bag and kit. Can't wait to stalk and take a buck with it. Highly recommend.

Beautiful bow, shows quality and commitment to craft!
I’ve been into Archery for 35 years and this is the nicest kit for the money that I’ve ever seen. The fit and finish of the bow is far beyond what one would think of as budget equipment. The extras are just that, extras. The idea is to get you started. The bow string is of fine quality. Note: It is quite common for the trimmed ends of the final finish loop windings on a Flemish twist string appear frayed, but this is entirely normal and not a defect but how most are finished off. You can add lots of wax to tame them but it’s not necessary as they have no effect on string performance. Maintain the string with a quality bow wax when it becomes dry from use. They did not include noc-points for the bow string or a bow square, I believe that these items should be included as well as an upgrade on the shooting glove as it is in my experience, a little too budget but zero complaints! The arrows shoot straight and will hold up just fine! To the Bow builders aka; Bowyer. Your commitment to craft is evident. It shows that care is taken with each one because it’s unavoidable that a very large portion of bow building is done by hand. I hope they’re compensated well because they deserve it. We should see years of good use from this kit! Many thanks!

Amazing for the Price
Received a different bow for Christmas and fell in love with shooting. It was a #25 and I wanted a #40 to grow into while I build up my shooting muscles. Watched sooo many youtube reviews of bows, even bought a black hunter that I didn't like and returned (a lot of hand vibration... I probably got a dud, oh well). Came across a few reviews of the Sanlida Royal X8 and they were all very positive. Decided to give it a shot and was very happy with my purchase. Yes, I'm very new at archery, but if you're like me and just getting into the sport, this a great bow. Looks really nice, build quality is excellent, and comes with everything but a target and a nocking point to get you started. The bag is especially great, not like amazing quality, but having a travel bag is awesome. Arrows are a little heavy, but the fletchings are feathers and shoot good enough to get you started. A little off-gassing from the arm guard, but I already had one and put this one aside as a spare. But the bow, wow the bow is awesome. Looks and shoots great. The string definitely stretches a bit at first. I've shot about 400 arrows with it and it's now staying at the brace height I set. I recommend using the includes string silencers, but that's up to your personal preference. What are you waiting for? Get one for yourself!

The bow is wonderful, the included accessories not so much.
I ordered the 40lb Sanlida Royal and have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised with this bow! The build quality of the Sanlida Royal seems top notch with very nice fit/feel/function, the grip is very comfortable, it has a smooth draw with little to no stacking, shoots great, and is IMO very pleasant looking. Overall the bow itself gets 5/5 stars from me. That brings me to the included accessories... Although its very convenient that this kit came with everything to get you started, I wouldn't get my hopes up about the quality of the additional items. My two biggest complaints so far would be the Glove and the arrows. -The glove: The glove itself appears to be OK for someone just starting out however judging by the varying size of the fingers and the placement of the leather finger pads in correlation this glove appears to be made with a left handed individual in mind (which I am not) and the fingers themselves of the glove were a bit too small to comfortably fit. -The arrows: The kit comes with 6 arrows to get you started which I would guess to be around 600 spine and roughly 32" in length. After taking around 200 total shots (shot indoors into certified targets) with the six included arrows the feathers have already fallen off of two of them and seem loose on a few others. -String Silencers: The included string silencers seem to work quite well so far, and do really quiet the bow down. -Field Points: Perfectly serviceable 100gn Field Points. -Bow Stringer: I have not tried this item yet, instead opting for the step-through method as I've always done. -Arm Guard: I've never found much need for these and have not used this item yet. To summarize the 40lb Sanlida Royal X8 itself is a pleasure to shoot and seems to be a great bow so far that is well worth it's $150 price tag, but the included accessories leave a lot to be desired. As always YMMV :)
