Be careful if you have shag carpeting to clean in a hoarders home who has animals, because it will suction up animal feces that previous machines could not get out, and rewet them, and that is a mess. Probably would have been better to take the carpeting outside and beat it with a broom, I would suggest doing that first just in case, or just throw it away.
