Great Children's Story
This book introduces children to the concept of going to the library in a time where that seems ancient. (We have a library inside the mall here in Washington. I find that really amazing.) Miss Lola our main character takes us on her journey and what she does at the library. She's a little bookworm and her Mommy reads to her at night. The words are easy to follow for little readers and the story is easy to follow. I enjoyed reading this with my little ones and it's definitely a favorite. They enjoyed it and smiled but I was not about to read it again. (Lol, every parents silent prayer. Read it once for the night and sneak out.) I recommend this book to parents of little ones wanting to encourage your children to read and just in general. It's a great children's story.

Excellent Book - Lovely Colorful Pictures
After the birth certificate and social security card, the next document of importance for me is a library card. Both my sons received theirs by the age of 2 and prayerfully, I will be able to get one for my granddaughter by the time she turns 2.My granddaughter and I enjoyed the book and lovely pictures. The story was not just about the library but more about parents spending quality time with their children and just how much that means to our children.

Love this Book..
I originally bought a copy of this book 5 years ago when my son was born. He loved this book & now we have a daughter and she also loves it. We bought this copy to give to a friend as a birthday gift. Really like the premise of getting excited about books, reading and visiting the library. I also like that Lola looks like my daughter. There aren't a lot of books with minority main characters. Overall, this is an excellent book for young children and burgeoning readers like my son.

Give Your Kids A Love for the Library
This is a sweet story. Well written, simple and warm. It gets kids excited to read and go to the library at a young age. This book also shows a beautiful closeness of the mother and her daughter while exploring life outside of home for the day. Both my young daughter & my son, ages 2 and 4 years old love it. It shows diverse groups of kids all throughout.I am very glad to own this book in our own family library.

Great Series for Grandparents
Such a cute book. It is amazing how books like this was so rare when I was growing up. Now that I am a grandma, I have such a selection of culturally-appreciative books to choose from for my grandbabies. Just love it and this one is well written and illustrated beautifully. I love the character Lola and her family. Will definitely add more of this series to my grandma collection.

Love it !
My 3yr old loves this book. It tells of Lola going to the library, returning books and her mother also borrowing books. My girl is a natural reader so she loves books and going to the library. She also likes that the little girl looks like her. It's wonderful for kids to illustrations that look like them also when they read. Great book !
