Great appliance
’ve been using the Instant Pot 4 qt RIO Mini 7-in-1 Multi-Cooker for a few weeks now, and it’s become one of my favorite kitchen helpers — especially since I don’t always feel like firing up the stove. It’s small enough that it doesn’t take over my counter, but still big enough to make meals for one or two people or leftovers for lunch, which is perfect for my apartment size. The seven functions — like pressure cook, slow cook, sauté, steam, rice, yogurt, and keep warm — give me tons of flexibility, so I can make anything from soups and rice to yogurt or steamed veggies without juggling multiple pots. It cooks stuff quickly (way faster than my old slow cooker) and cleanup is easy because the pot and lid are dishwasher safe. The progress indicator on the front is a nice touch too since I can see where it is in the cooking cycle at a glance. It’s not perfect — the lack of a detachable power cord and fewer accessories out there can be annoying — but overall it’s very handy, user-friendly, and a great small-space multitasker that I reach for almost every day.

Perfect instant pot for large families
I love it! Cooks thoroughly and efficiently. It's a large size so it's great for feeding a family or cooking for a party. The quality of the instant pot is great and comes with thorough instructions. It's also easy to clean as you can take out the inner pot. The one down side is it does take up a lot of space so if you have a small counter top like me it's something you'll have to store elsewhere. Overall I think it's worth the price and works really well. I recommend it!

Love it
Love the size and the pink color. So, much easier to work with and clean than the larger version. The sauté function does run pretty hot so don’t take your eyes off it. Did a pot roast almost the same size as the bottom of the pot in 75 min, on pressure cook setting. Took it out and set it aside to rest then put all the vegetables in the pot and pressure cooked for 30 min (could have done for less time) Probably could have done meat for 60 min and been fine. It’s nice and light and so much more convenient than trying to lug around the big one especially when there is only two of us now. It made more than enough for at least 4 people. So, unless you have a huge family or like tons of leftovers then this is great for 2-4 people easy. The directions for pressure cooking say to use a minimum of 3 cups of liquid but I believe this would be incorrect as it would have filled the pot over 3/4 full when you add ingredients. From what information I could gather on the internet you should only need a minimum of 1 cup liquid. Which I think sounds more correct because I split the difference and added almost 2 cups and in the end after done cooking I had probably 4 cups of liquid when all cooked. But overall very happy with the machine and it’s quick cooking time. It’s a great quality machine and was on sale so a steal of a deal. Definitely great value for the money

Absolute Perfection
Small enough to cook what I need for one person on a diet. While everyone else can eat what's for dinner. Its cooks stuff in 30 min a whole healthy low cal meal just for me. I had the original 'Harvest' Pressure cooker from the early 90"s and that would also allow me to do Canning. But this isn't an 8 quart it's a 4 quart and can make yogurt , just not in individual jars. Small price to pay to be able to make a small batch of what only I need. Oh and it's REALLY pretty too. Great size and easy to use
This is such a great product! The compact size is perfect for my small apartment. I have used both the pressure cooker and slow cooker features. In the first few days I had used the pressure cooker to break down split peas before adding to the slow cook. I will use this method on all my bean dishes. Artichokes were quick, easy, cooked to perfection. This is quickly becoming my favorite kitchen tool!

Many pros to this smaller version. Convenient and content with purchase.
Arrived several days ago and I was excited to use. There are a few convenience features I miss from my 6qt, to include temp choice and a removable cord for storage purpose. No recipe book unfortunately, so I simply half my normal meal ingredients. Otherwise I haven’t had a problem with this smaller version IP. I made spaghetti as the meal test and found it easier to work with given the shorter height of unit. The steam release tab is a thoughtful feature as I have burned myself previously using the original version. This unit works quietly when on; I even had to go closer to hear if my food was cooking! It is aesthetically pleasing and the optional color choice is a plus. I am content with my purchase thus far and looking forward to preparing my next meal.

Check your capacity needs first
Works as stated. A bit of learning curve, but simple. It is basically a 6 qt that has shunken lower. Whether it is wider I am not aware. The only thing I was disappointed in was that the 4 qt is really about 2 2/3 qt capacity in actuality, or less (2qt) if you cook things like split pea soup. It shouldn't have surprised me in that a manual pressure cooker can't be topped off either. For two people this was about right however. We don't need to make a ton of food. For others, they might want to consider the 6 qt. which would give them an actual 4 qt capacity I believe. The saute function is great for starting soups and stews. Quicker than electric rangetop. I have made oxtail stew (bone in) and mixed bean (pre-soaked) chili so far. A real time saver, and the pressure cooker won't scare you half to death like it might on an electric rangetop, where you might need to 'decompress' it immediately under running water.

I’m so obsessed, it’s honestly perfect
Oh my god!? I didn’t even know they came in pink I’m obsessed! It looks so cute in my kitchen, and the instant pot is by far the most essential kitchen appliance ever. Period. This one is great because it has more surface area to use to sauté your food. It has all the functions of a regular one, so you can make anything! Heats up super quickly and it is so easy to clean. I truly can’t think of a better appliance. The top seal is great, there have been no issues, and all my food I’ve made so far comes out perfectly delicious every time ! It looks great kept out in my kitchen and not like the eyesore that a typical instant pot is. I’ve had several instant pots in my lifetime and this one is totally worth it. I live alone, and it makes enough food for me to meal prep for myself, but it would be the perfect size for a couple. Maybe a family should go up a size, but the bigger ones are not as aesthetic. (The prices you pay for having kids, haha) also, it is very quiet, but the little tunes that play when it’s turned on are even cuter than the regular one! So many reasons this is the best one. Just get it!
