EVIQO Level 2 EV Charger NACS 40A NEMA 14-50 - 240V Wall Charging Station

This EVIQO EV Charger was the answer to my charging needs for my Rivian R1T. Being a DIYer it was a quick and straightforward installation for me. Installing a 60a/240v breaker and running the 6 AWG wire allows me to charge at a level 2 charging speed that has me ready over night for whatever travel the next day’s travel may bring. The charger is well built of quality materials that should charge my truck for years. The cable length is good allowing me to charger in or out of my garage. The cradle that holds the plug end off the cable allows for excellent storage of the cable as well as the plug when not connected to the truck. The unit itself looks pretty cool there on the garage wall. I don’t worry about overcharging or heat buildup as this charger functions as I would expect from a quality electrical product. The app allows complete charging control however my Rivian app is what I use for all my truck’s functions. This is truly an excellent charger allowing multiple charging options from 20a up allowing charging for your particular EV need.

I could not be happier with my EVIQO. I settled on this unit after reading a number of "top 10" lists and then taking a close look at the design. This is an outstanding product. 1. Incredible packaging. You could toss the box off a building and not harm the contents. 2. Clean, attractive aesthetics and a well-designed shell. 3. Simple, robust circuit board and internals. 4. Excellent iPhone app - Honestly, I wish the app for my EV was as good. I purchased the plug-in version, but I decided to convert it to a hard-wired install, with a straight run of 6/2 Romex direct to the 50A breaker at the panel. I figured pulling 40A for hours at a time, zero connections was the ideal number. Since my 70+ year old house has soft cinderblock walls in the garage, I made a mounting plate from 3/4" HDPE for the unit and the connector cradle. Incidentally, a close friend was looking for a new level 2 charger for his new home, and I strongly endorsed the EVIQO. I think he just ordered one. Thanks EVIQO for an outstanding product. great product, easy to install and set up with app. Our power company has very cost effective off peak hours and its as simple as set the start time and forget it the app and charger do everything i need plus its energy start 2 compliant so I get a rebate from the power company

This charger has exceeded my expectations! I had it installed on the exterior of the garage higher up on the wall under the eve of the roof to protect it from the elements. I live in Florida and there hasn't been any issues with the heat or rain. It's been over two months and I've charged my EV about once a week. It works flawlessly with a consistent 40 amp charge every time. The app is incredibly user friendly and setup is easy. Having the ability to lock it and only give access to users you choose is a nice touch. I received an email a month after purchase from the owner to see how I was enjoying the charger. My only feedback was it would be nice to be able to dim the brightness of the light on the unit, but its not anything bad. He responded to let me know he's received that feedback from others and they're working on a future update. It's very refreshing to have that level of customer service and communication. I highly recommend this charger for anyone. It looks great and performs perfectly.

Installation was easy, though I didn't have any available space left in my electric panel, so I had my electrician add a sub-panel and then we wired in the EVIQO NACS Charger to that. I set the max amperage to 40 A because my home only has 100 A service, so limiting the circuit to a 50 A breaker (required for 40 A power draw) seemed prudent. It is nice that you can set a hard limit for the EVIQO NACS Charger if you wish to do so. This is very helpful in cases when drawing the full 48 A might put too much stress on a home's electrical system. I have used the EVIQO app to further customize the amperage available for charging based on the time of day. I plan to switch to time based electric billing in the near future, so I have limited the charging to 10 A during times of the day when electricity is expensive and allowed 40 A when it is (or rather, will be) cheaper. Doing this now should make the billing change cheaper as the electric company calculates part of the switching fee based on your historical electricity usage. The overall build quality is good. This includes the main unit, the power cable, and the NACS connector. After several drops on the garage floor the NACS connector still shows no sign of wear. My only annoyance is that EVIQO called me several times asking me to post a review. Ok, here's my review. You can stop calling me now, alright? Thanks

This charger works. Easy to install. No complaints. I bought the plug in version to hard wire it because my Tesla charger died and I didn’t want to add a junction box and to keep my install clean. EVIQO has made some smart updates in regards to the removal of the plug to replace with hardwired setup. The older version used wire crimps and the version I just got (August 2026) used wire ferrals. Made for a much cleaner install. Using #8 AWG THHN and a 50A breaker I get a full 40A charge. Make sure you have a torque screwdriver and a ferral crimper.

I have to update my review. Their customer service reached out and fixed my issue with a firmware update. I have to admit, it took effort to find me and resolve this, customer service does care. 5 star service from their team. The hardware is ok, what you expect from a plastic box. After months of abuse, dropping it, throwing the connector on the ground, it is holding up well. It’s not fancy and it doesn’t need to be. I won’t add or deduct stars, it’s suitable. The installed connectors are high quality suitable for sustained use, my last charger melted the plug and this one has worked fine for months in the same conditions. I’ve been a programmer since the 80’s so I won’t be too critical of the software. It has basic functions and works well, although not intuitive on first use. For my use, I plug in my car and never touch the app. But there are scheduling options for those who charge during off peak hours. If I’m being hyper critical, they would lose a star. The core is there, they need someone to polish and refine the user experience. Functionally it’s fine and not difficult, it would not be a factor when recommending this.

The tubing is 1” for anyone looking to install it themselves. I had to dig deep in their website before ordering all the parts after ordering this. If you do it yourself like I did (I’m an electrician in the military) make sure it’s up to code! It looks great on the side of my house. It fits very snug. It’s super quiet and lightweight. Material seems durable and will last a long time (charger). It was a pretty penny but as long as it last for years to come it will definitely be worth it. I’m very happy with my purchase! The app is pretty nice too and super easy to use. My Tesla is a standard range so don’t get freaked out by the 32A. Only long range ones can get the 48. I got this so when I rent my house out if someone has an EV they can use it!

This is a very solid charger made of very strudy materials. The cable has excellent length and is also very good material. I've been using it now for nine months with no issues. The app is...okay, certainly usable but I find I use my car's app more to control charging anyway. But in addition to a quality product, the customer service from this company is top notch. Even before I purchased the product I sent them a question as this was my first EV and my first home charger. They responded immediately with very clear information. I would highly recommend this company and product to anyone.

Excellent Level 2 Charger for My Cadillac OPTIQ I've been using the EVIQO NACS 40A Level 2 charger with my Cadillac OPTIQ, and it has been excellent. Charging has been reliable and consistent from day one. Installation was simple using a standard NEMA 14-50 outlet, and the charger delivers the expected Level 2 charging speeds. The 25-foot (7.6 m) cable provides plenty of reach, making it easy to park and plug in without having to position the vehicle perfectly every time. The charger feels very well built. It's weatherproof and rated for outdoor use, which gives me confidence that it will hold up well over time. The charging handle is sturdy and connects securely to the vehicle. The Wi-Fi app is easy to use and allows me to monitor charging sessions and schedule charging during off-peak electricity hours. I have nothing but good things to say about that charger. It looks good. Performs great. Keep my phone charged and I get a notification when charge is starting, when it's ending and how much it costed me with the current grid price. My only complaint, not really an issue so far is sometimes, when I press the button on the handle, it doesn't unlock the charger so I can unhook it from the car. Currently using it for a 2026 Cadillac Optiq
