Agent 1000 Basic Analogue Telephone with Headset Port

I bought this as I don't get a very good mobile signal at home and it was causing problems running my business. I didn't want to spend a lot and this has been ideal. It's very basic, but you know that if you read the description, and have never had any issues with sound quality or reliability. I mostly use it with a headset and it works great.

Perfect compact phone used very regularly as I work from home. Headset plugs in nicely.

During the wretched lockdowns I was forced to work from home for my one day per week of voluntary work. This involves clients calling and needing advice. I use a headset in the office and found life at home without one very difficult as I needed to write down what the clients told me. So, I searched for a landline phone with a headset port and this “Agent” looked OK. However, I found it far too quiet for use and have given up using it in frustration, fortunately just before I was recalled to the office. It has no amplifier and the handset and my headset both seem to have a fairly high impedance, reducing volume. So, to use this with a headset, you need either very efficient ears or a very efficient headset. Not recommended.

Telephone not working when received. No dialling tone when connected to house landline. Rang out when called from another phone but neither party could hear the other. Suspect that the manufacturers rely on their unsuspecting customers to manage quality control and inspection. If you are tempted to buy one of these cheap, lightweight, tatty looking phones I hope you have a better experience than I did. Amazon accepted my request for refund without demur . Phone returned.

Exactly what I need for my home work, does exactly what its supposed to, no issues with it at all

Very basic but does what it says on the tin. I have given 4 stars as i bought it to use my headsets when working from home but the siund wasnt great.

Phone broken. Constant dial tone even when receiver is replaced.
