Does this game favour those who can think and answer fastest?

Yes, but you can also vary the challenge for players - I’ll try and explain! There are 3 categories which get increasingly difficult as you progress through the game, but for my youngest, we let him continue on the easiest layer. He still finds it tricky, and it’s obvious that he’s getting help, but it makes it more accessible.

Is this really suitable from 8 years old?

If a grown up is present then I'd say yes. My 8 year old joins in. He does get a bit bored and finds it a bit tricky but he is a 'young' 8. He does enjoy putting the slice together for me.
