Works like a dream! (On aluminium windows frames)
After having aluminium windows installed I noticed a lot of expanding foam residue left on the frames. I tried to gently scrub with aluminium cleaner, soapy water and just about every other cleaning product and it was stuck fast. In comes Soudal PU Foam remover! After about 20 minutes (despite the instructions telling me to wait longer!) I scraped off with the supplied plastic scraper and it was all gone. Couldn’t be happier. A lot of reviews suggest it works on uPVC but there are limited reviews confirming it works on aluminium….I can tell you it does and doesn’t damage it at all. Perfect! Oh….and as others have said, you get far more than you will need!

It worked just as advertised!
Massively impressed with this after reading previous mixed reviews. Wind blew expanding foam (Also made by Soudal) onto my UPVC door trim to the side of the front door. Tried to get as much off as possible but I just ended up smudging it and making a mess. Two days later this product arrived, I painted it on liberally (as instructed) all over the smudged and now dry mess. Waited 50 minutes - went back outside with a plastic scraper and literally just pulled the scraper down from the top of the UPVC trim to the bottom and it pulled off all the dry foam in a rubbery type of material. A quick wipe with a microfibre cloth after removing the last bits of foam. No mess left, no discolouration, no problem. It's like there was never any foam on it. Loads of product left too (for next time). Brush was easy to use and did the job just fine. I couldn't personally smell anything but my partner said that it did smell quite strong (not sure if she was smelling something else, I had my nose right to the brush and couldn't smell it). Seems to work fast so I'm guessing a strong product - I do know there are sprays you can get that work in 2 minutes but for me, this worked perfectly. Would recommend - follow instructions (Apply generously - wait no less than 30 mins, no more than 60, repeat if required).

Works as described
Who hasn't has an expanding foam accident? This does an okay job of dissolving wet foam - better than any other solvent I had about the house (rubbing alcohol, acetone, brake cleaner). I did try and use it to wash set foam out of a shirt - with enough scrubbing it did actually break down the solid bits but couldn't remove the staining - so in that regard it over delivered.

Worked for me on white uPVC and white standard conservatory window board (white PVC coated)
Worked for me on white uPVC and white standard conservatory window board (white PVC coated). It took a while to find this product. I had a few expanding PU foam stains on some window board and I had tried every solvent I had in the house, stopping short of cellulose thinners as it is a vicious solvent. This contains a solvent I hadn't heard of before, Ethanolamine, which is also pretty strong and water soluble. I applied it to a piece of white off-cut window board and left it there for about 5 hours (the instructions say 30 mins) - no damage, so I applied it thickly to the PU stains (after carefully scraping it as flat and thin as possible) and left it on for 40 mins. The foam had not dissolved, but had loosened the foam so I could either wipe it off or gently scrape with the spatula. Marvellous! Wiped the surfaces clean with water. I would normally have easily wiped the uncured foam off with white spirit, but this is a good (if expensive) backup for mistakes - there's loads in the pot though. Being a strong solvent, I'm not surprised it would damage coloured PVC, but for white it's fine.

Does and doesn't work.
I applied this liberally - you get a LOT of it (way, way, way more than you'll need) - to a UPVC window frame that had small patches of foam over spray in several places. After leaving it an hour, I scraped it off with the supplies scraper. About 50% came off easily. I did another application - again an hour - and got maybe another 15% and a 3rd application, which only got 5% (used a proper scraper not the plastic one). So there's 30% of my problem that this hasn't cleaned. Also, they really should sell smaller tubes of this. I've barely used 5-10% and I doubt I'll ever have any future use for the remainder. Quite a waste.

Might work on fresh foam.
Might work on fresh expanding foam, but did absolutely nothing on foam that has already set.

This stuff really works - helped return my worktop to new!
Very effective! I dropped some expanding foam on a brand new worktop and whilst I scraped off as much as I could when it was fresh, it left a noticeable mark behind. I liberally spread this over the remnants and left it for 25 mins. Afterwards, I was able to scrape off everything, leaving the worktop spick and span again!. Needed an old cloth to wipe off the product, but that was easy. I didn't need to use any other scrapers as others have said they needed to. This product really works
