Joie Microwave Egg Bites

Wow! What a great discovery! I've been making lots and lots of egg bites with this product. So easy! I beat the eggs, throw in diced veggies, ham, cheese, etc., and pour into these four molds and place in the microwave. Three minutes later I have perfect egg bites! I can't speak highly enough of this new addition to my kitchen. It works really well, and so easy to tip out the 'bites', as nothing sticks to the silicone. Buy this. You won't regret it!

This is my favorite way to cook eggs. It creates very fluffy, delicious egg bites. If the egg bites come out too small, that is not tall enough, or too hard or rubbery, that means that they were kept too long in the microwave. You need to experiment with your microwave to find the correct cooking time. If you watch when the egg bites are being cooked, you will see that at some stage they so puffy that they lift the lid up. I usually use 2 or 3 eggs to cook in this form, if I cook without any added ingredients (vegetables, onions, sausage, etc., all finely diced). Depending on amount of added ingredients, I usually use 2 eggs, because the little compartments of the form should not be overfull, so there is room for them to rise. I recently discovered that the bites are also wonderful without any added ingredients, just egg by itself. I think that the egg bites coming out of this form are more delicious than the omelet made with identical ingredients made in a regular silicone omelet form - I think that it is because egg bites are fluffier and taller (let me repeat the importance of experimenting with cooking times, it does not take very long to obtain a fully cooked fluffy egg bite, too cooking time makes the egg bites too small, hard, and almost rubbery, but when you discover the correct cooking time for your microwave, they are simply wonderful. )

I’ve ordered 2 so far and gave one as a gift. Works perfectly in the microwave to make egg bites in 3 minutes. Very convenient, easy to clean and small to store.

I can't believe how easy this is to use and how tasty the egg bites are. I did what one reviewer on here said and put a glass jar on top of the lid half filled with water. I found I can fill the cups to the top with whatever I want and 2 1/2 minutes later I have perfect egg bites. My favorite, so far, is bacon pieces and cheese on the bottom, fill with egg whites and sprinkle chives on top. After cooking a little hot sauce tops them off. Enjoy!!

Well I love the single one. This one that makes for small individual ones isn't near as good

Works well. Make sure you don’t fill them too much or the eggs with come out and make a mess, but you get the hang of it after one use!

I already had the egg bites piece. I love it. It works perfectly. I ordered this one for my granddaughter who likes the egg bites from Starbucks. I know she will like it also. Thank you. It was hard trying to find this item.

I will be buying another. I bought the egg bite cookbook also . With a family this makes only four. But with a microwave does not take long. So with a family , buy more than one.
