I have purchased 3 of these assure 2 locks and 3 other Yale locks and they all work great! Their app works fantastic and their customer service is great! I really trust Yale as a brand and I would highly recommend to anyone.

I have had a wifi Kwikset lock for a while that I have been wanting to replace. I came across this one at an airbnb and wanted to give it a try. though I only bought the Bluetooth version, it connects to apple home and I can use the Home app on my iPhone to monitor, and open and close remotely. This does not show me the door sensor which id like to see an update but for now this will work until I decided if I want to buy the wifi module. It looks great, it's fairly quiet and is super quick at scanning the finger print. having the keypad option is great as well to setup access on the fly without having to record their fingerprint. Highly recommend !

I ordered two of these and they both don't work. They'll constantly work their way out of spec to where when it unlocks itself it will think that it's still locked in the auto lock won't re-engage one of them just shuts off all the time for no reason. And yeah need to take the batteries out and put them back in for it to reset. I've asked to get them both warrantied and replaced but they'll only send me one and every single time I call support it's multiple hours of troubleshooting. Sending in evidence them telling me they'll help me with both of them and end up only helping me with one to have the same issue. I really really really wish I would have done another solution because Yale fails! The doors that I have them installed on they're 100% installed correctly and have completely uninfringed movement but the motor just turns a slightly different distance every time and after a week you'll guaranteed have a lock that will say it is locked when it isn't or vice versa, which I can't trust to have on my front door.

Bought this after originally buying the assure lock 2 without finger print reader (price was very close for the added feature of fingerprint reader) Been very happy with it so far. I had to order the Wi-Fi module separate but it was super easy to install and easy to connect to the Wi-Fi. I have used the remote unlock function to unlock my door for someone to access the house and it worked perfectly. It is a bit pricey but overall I am very happy with the quality of the device and how it works.

I really like the lock, but unfortunately i was sent the wrong lock. the one i received did not have the key lock or the fingerprint scanner. I didn't reach back out to the seller because i had already installed it and threw away my old set.

My first smart lock and I use it for garage to inside home entry. Got the Bluetooth with physical key version so it’s really not connected to the Internet/smart home other than when I have my phone right next to it (to configure/check settings and history). Using only the fingerprint to unlock when outside. The touch/fingerprint is like 60%, working - typically needs 3+ tries to get it to detect properly to unlock. The problem is the lock will randomly doing the locking/unlocking thing when no one is near it. Like while we’re all eating dinner or in the middle of the night. Can hear motor moving and beeping sound the door makes. Connecting it with the phone shows those as manual open/close. Sometimes it will end back in the original lock/unlock state but not always. Sometimes when it is unlocked and I just open/close the door to get to the garage, it will lock itself too despite the autolock function being disabled. Annoying. Support is responsive but they don’t really fix the problem (recalibrate, change battery, reset and program from scratch so the locks can start fresh, etc.). I think they need to do better testing and have diagnostic mechanism than just telling the customer to “reset and program from scratch” - which is quite tedious esp when it doesn’t solve the issue). Reading thru Reddit forums, seems like this not so uncommon. If I was using this for external entry doors, I would have returned it due to security concerns (that it randomly unlocks itself).

Upgraded our door and lock and are really pleased with this lock. Easy to install and set up using the app. Bought a matte black handle at the big orange hardware store that matched nicely even though it wasn't Yale brand. Ease of use is great; set my husband up as a second "owner" and have subsequently enabled it to operate with Alexa commands/routines ("Alexa, I'm leaving" and auto-lock protocol at 9pm, etc.) and issue temporary codes to secondary users like petsitters or contractors. Really easy to do everything, and makes life easy not having to worry about whether you have your keys when you leave the house or toting keys along when going for a run or walking the dog.

I originally had the Yale Assure Lock and recommended it to my sister. When they bought theirs, they asked me to help install it, and that's when I realized it was the version 2 model. I was so impressed with how it worked that I ended up buying one for myself. The fingerprint feature is amazing—much better than other fingerprint locks I own.
