WORKS!
I decided to try and make a "licking vine" out of rope. Washed the length of rope in "no scent" detergent, handled with rubber gloves, and stored in a sealed plastic bag. In the woods I created a mock scrape in front of my camera. Of course, I wore rubber gloves throughout this process. Used a stick found there to create the scrape, backed side-by-side to the edge and climbed in the back. Secured the rope to a limb over the scrape and used CODE BLUE RACK RUB GEL to coat the rope. Dropped a few drops into scrape and stirred with stick. Pictures show a doe group visiting the scrape that evening (constructed it mid-day 10/13) and what it looks like 5 days later. Too many pics to include of deer (bucks & does) working the scrape and urinating in and around it. On the same day I applied the gel to several licking branches in deer made scrapes within my 100 acres. All have seen increased activity. I've recommended it to other members within our club and will continue to freshen licking branches with it. Ordering more.

It Works
I have made four mock scrapes at different stands and I have been surprised that this stuff actually works. Watched a spike use one of the scrapes I made and wished I had taken a picture to post here, but by the time I thought about it he was walking off. There are other products like this advertised but are much more expensive, I tried Code Blue brand because of the price.

Bucks like it
Was concerned when I first opened it due to strength of the smell…wasn’t expecting such a strong odor. However, I got pictures of bucks visiting multiple mocks scrapes I made within 1-2 days. Seems to last quite a while too. I recommend it.

Did not work on mock scrapes in Florida
Used it in Florida didn’t work at all. Not saying it doesn’t work just saying it doesn’t work down here.

Great for trail cameras
I have trail cameras set up aimed at three different wild apple trees that I have worked on for several years. Google "wild apple release" if you are not familiar. The deer have naturally established scrapes under those trees where I left licking branches. After using RACK RUB on those branches, I had a five fold increase in the number of pictures of both bucks and does, including some larger bucks that hadn't shown up before using the product. I even had pictures of a bear checking it out. If I had had an opportunity to shoot one of those big bucks last season, I would have given it five stars. The deer were still attracted after shedding their antlers. I have been applying the product about every other week and now in mid June I am monitoring the antler development of several bucks. I won't blame RACK RUB but almost none of the activity is in daylight hours.

Made a Believer Out of Me
This was the first time I've made mock scrapes and I'm impressed. I used JACKIES DEER LURES scrape powder and used the Code Blue Rack Rub on a limb overhanging the scrape. I checked it 4 days after I made it and there was some sign in the scrape. Three days later my stepfather hunted that stand without knowing I made the scrape. A nice 8 pt and 2 spikes came in and he kept waiting for the 8 pt to get from behind the small tree and bushes so he could shoot. He said the buck was pawing the ground and licking and rubbing his horns on the limb. Long story short, he killed the buck. I've made several more scrapes and used this on the overhanging branch and they are tearing em up. I'll be sitting on one of those scrapes in the morning.

The Code Blue Rack Rub Gel is a game-changer for attracting bucks. The gel formula is easy to apply and sticks well to rubs and branches, lasting through various weather conditions. The scent is incredibly potent and realistic, drawing in deer from a distance. I've seen increased buck activity in my hunting areas since using this product. Highly recommend it to hunters looking for an effective attractant!

I cant say that this stuff is a "magic bullet" that will draw in all the trophy bucks. On my trail cam i noticed that it will make both does and bucks stop out of curiosity. I used it to get a licking branch started and let nature take over. Some deer walked past. Some deer stopped to rub. I don't think it hurt my chances of drawing deer in. Give it a shot. It may work for you.
