Seems to be working
I have issues with sleep as a major night owl so I often miss out on morning sunshine and could use a light box. I tried one before from Costco but this one is brighter, looks nicer, is taller (which I like), has a 3 yr warranty, and costs $50 less. I've use it daily for one week now and it already seems to be helping. My energy and mood feel higher and I've been going to bed earlier at night. I first used it too long (one hour) and felt nauseous with a headache for hours, but I found 30 minutes works great. The manual said to use 8-24" away from eyes so I keep it about 20" on the highest setting. I use it without contacts or glasses with my eyes looking up at my tablet first thing after I wake to (hopefully) reset my screwed up circadian rhythm.

Super bright!
This is lightweight, stylish, and looks very nice on my desk at work. The cord is plenty long enough and the on/off switch that also provides three brightness settings, is conveniently located on the back of the light at the top. Just a light touch is all that's needed to turn it on and off. Now I want to offer a word of caution: do not look at this light when turning it on!!! The first time I turned it on I made the mistake of looking at it and I swear I had died and was "seeing the light". Because of the brightness I've tried to aim it away from my coworkers so they don't feel like they are undergoing an interrogation. As for being a "therapy" light...I suppose it works but I've never used one before so I have nothing to compare it to. I've heard therapy lights are not supposed to remain on all the time, so I do turn it on and off throughout the morning. Do I go from feeling sluggish to bouncing off the cubicle walls? No. Does it create a "zen" feeling? No, however I don't feel as tired during the mid afternoon slump and it definitely creates a bright glow on the ceiling above my desk.

Stupendous
I just made some comments on my combined sleep schedule. I take Tryptophan to help go to sleep. I wake up, do some stretches. Turn on my light. And I watch the news in my recliner and do whatever my morning rituals are. Like view stocks, answer emails, eat breakfast, feed the dog. I'm not a farmer. Most of us are not farmers. But for most of human creation, we have woken up with the sun, and went to bed in the dark. It's only in relatively recent history that we've been able to ignore that due to artificial lighting and diverse occupations. The light helps us adjust and stay adjusted. It's super cheap. It's not a drug. It's very attractive and small. Just stick it at the peripheral of your vision and do what you normally do. You don't have to meditate in front of it or anything. If it works, FANTASTIC. If it doesn't work, you have an extra light in your home that is ultra bright when you need to find something under the couch. If you have issues with sleep, it's a no-brainer to try it. It has helped me tremendously and I've had sleep issues my entire life. I went from sleeping 9 hours a day at incredibly irregular times to sleeping 7-8 hours a day and having much better energy levels and mental well-being. There, I should have just written that.

4/5 Design. 5/5 Functionality.
I LOVE THIS LAMP. It has completely changed my work days. I recently graduated from college and began working in an office. I didn't realize just how much I sought out sunlight each day until I no longer had the ability to pick a window seat, do my work outside, or walk between my classes. Over the course of a few weeks I went from loving my job and the people I worked with to dreading the moment I had to walk through the doors each day. I didn't feel like myself at all. On a whim--or maybe you could say "in a moment of desperation"--I looked up sunlight lamps and came across this one. I felt a difference the moment I turned it on. I almost felt like I had stepped outside and turned my face up to the sun. I keep it on the lowest setting most of the time I'm in my office and it's made me feel like myself again. This is life altering. I'm rating this 4 stars for a few reasons: 1) IT WORKS 2) It doesn't take up too much space on my desk and it isn't invasive in anyway 3) It's cute--the design is organic and helps to humanize an otherwise sterile office space The only reason I am not rating this 5 stars is that the cord is poorly placed. My current set up is to hide it behind my desktop, so it's not the worst thing. Ideally I would have a minimalist desk space with a laptop, in which I case I would not be able to hide the cord. It's not the cleanest design. I would give it 4.5 stars if that option were available.

Get used to the switch and then it's smooth sailing.
I love this lamp. It is extremely bright, as it should be, and looks stylish. If you look very close, you can see it is made of plastic, but from a couple feet away it looks like metal or dark wood. Reminds me of a Frank Loyd Wright design. I would mention three things for new buyers. 1) The button to turn it on and change the brightness requires only an extremely light touch. It's very easy to accidentlly turn it on or change the brightness just by brushing past it. 2) The description I took to mean that the light would go in the order of bright, brighter, brightest and back to off. That's not the way mine works. Mine goes off, brightest, brighter, bright and back to off. 3) Also, in view of the lamp needing such a light touch, I have found that an easy way to change the level is to leave it sitting on my desk, pull the top of the clock toward me so that it is at about a 45 degree angle, and make sure the front edge is still in contact with the desk. That way I have a firm stable surface to work with and I don't accidentally tap the button too many times. As for working on my mood, I give it an A and another A for helping me deal with my sleep disorders.

This is a really nice-looking therapy lamp. You would never know that that is what it is unless it is turned on due to the design, and I like that. Some have complained about the on/off switch being in the top-back of the unit but I don't find it a serious issue....I've never had it topple over when turning it on as some have stated. The location of the plug in the back is also a non-issue for me....it doesn't interfere with where I have it sitting or how/when I plugged it in. It has 3 brightness levels and it is, indeed, very bright on the highest setting which is the way it should be. I really like it and would recommend it to others. A++

I bought this because it looked good (not a good reason, but I have a tiny space) and was small. It’s even smaller than I thought but it is mighty! Twenty minutes in the morning while I drink my coffee and catch up on news and email, and I will be off to sleep at a sensible hour that night. And quality of sleep is improved as well. Count me happy! Also, bonus points because my better sleep has completely stabilized my blood sugar levels, which had been a problem for some months. Doesn’t come with much in the way of instructions and I was initially using it for too long. This will cause an urge to sleep the next morning which cannot be fought off. So be warned that more is not better.

I Live up north where the sun isn't always up by the time I have to be for work. This light helps wake me up and is compact enough to sit right on my desk. Make sure you turn it off when you are done with it because it can get a little warm after some time.

The three intensity settings are certainly strong and I am pleasantly surprised by the amount and quality of the light coming out. It might be plastic but the effort in designing something prettier than a plain square works for me and fits nicely on my desk.

My friend lent me hers and it helped me get a better sleep very quickly, within a few days I was sleeping better and longer. It's a wonderful product and cute, too!
