I tested it out first- as a stethoscope, it actually functions pretty well. I could hear both the heart and lungs pretty clearly. It isn't as good as my actual stethoscope, of course, but it doesn't need to be. I think the clarity of the sound is just right for kids to be able to explore medicine. I wish there were more colors though! Pink would be wonderful. As other people are saying, I would not recommend this for a clinician due to the quality, but for kids, it is great. Some family practice and pediatrician offices have stethoscopes for kids to play with, and I think this would be an excellent choice.
