Inexpensive but effective relief.
I've had rheumatoid arthritis for 30 years, and when my back recently added its voice to the chorus of pain, I was just about at the end of my tether. I tried rolled-up towels on the advice of my physio, and although that gave me some relief, I felt that this couldn't be the best solution, not least because the damty things kept unrolling every time I stood up, and squashed down really easily. So I looked around for a better solution, and after reading the many reviews for this product (Amazon, Trust Pilot and Reevoo) I decided to give it a try, although I was unsure as to which one to get. I ordered the Original McKenzie Lumbar Roll (4 inches). I was also slightly dubious about the strap length, but I needn't have been, as it comfortably goes round my riser/recliner. The roll itself is great; the comfort level is just right - not too soft, not too firm), and gives my back just the right amount of support. I can sit comfortably for the first time in a very long time, but I also need back support overnight, and while I looked at the night rolls, not only were they much more expensive, but the largest size was for a 40 inch waist, and I'm no svelte youngster. So I tried tying the roll around my waist (it certainly wouldn't have stretched around the bed) and I've had the most comfortable night's sleep back-wise in over a year. Now, to the bounce-back qualities: having used the roll for 24 hours straight, it seems not to have squished at all and resumed its original shape as soon as I got out of bed. However, just to be on the safe side, and for convenience, I'm going to order another one for overnight use. This small item has made a *huge* difference to my life already, and I can't recommend it highly enough, so if you're suffering with back pain, give it a try, it's a small price to pay for effective relief.

This miscellaneous roll of black foam has made driving my car....
This miscellaneous roll of black foam has made driving my car viable again! I foolishly purchased a car with bucket seats (as though I was 17 again) and they have little or no lumbar support, great for a silky smooth race track for a few laps, dreadful for pitted and scarred roads of the United Kingdom. I purchased this on a whim, I had a vague recollection that as a kid my mum always travelled with a ‘back roll’ so thought it must be worth a go. Well generally it is very good firm and supportive but also comfortable for longer distances. There’s not really anything to dislike, the only thing would be if they could Incorporate a sheath for the snap buckle as I’m a bit afraid that it might wear on my Alcantara (1st world problems). Anyway it’s worked well for me so far, I can’t quite tell if it’s started to lose a bit of its shape already in which case I’d drop it down a star but at present it doesn’t warrant that. All in all a great buy, and for the price you may as well give it a go.

Roll on Steroids
For years I have used a 4" McKenzie Lumbar Roll. They are solidly made; mine lasted 15 years. Recently I lost it and when I came to replace it I saw there is now a 5" version too. It being the same price, I bought it, but it turns out that although it is bigger - it seems much bigger - it is not necessarily better. It boils down to a question of how much lumbar support you actually need. This one is bulkier and provides more.. if you habitually use deckchairs or other seating with zero support it will be very useful. But the 4" version is better for targeted support especially in chairs which are not too bad to start with, such as car seats, office chairs etc. I suppose ideally, get one of each..

good size for price.
recently started taking physio and needed a lumbar roll as i was getting serious back problems from bad sitting posture. wasn't sure what size to purchase. ended up buying this purely from reviews here. size is perfect for my needs.lumbar roll has a clip belt which i find useful. as soon as i sit to the computer i clip the lumbar roll on and it's a constant reminder to myself to keep my posture upright and not slouch which seems to be helping as i am not experiencing as severe back pains as before.highly recommend.10/10

very firm
I already own the d shape lumber roll but its not as firm as this one and its smaller but does the job very well.I wanted another one so i could have one in the home and one in the car, so i opted for the firmer one. What can i say, its brilliant and supports my back very well as i have had back trouble in the past, i recommend it to anyone who has low back pain.

good product
Nice little lumbar support. It is firm, but great to my liking. I have a herniated disc down in that area and it helps me do my job which involves sitting 10h a day. The only thing I can mention is that it is already starting to get a bit squeezed certain places, so I have to keep rotating it a bit so it doesn't de-shape. After a few hours in the same position it tends to "loose" it supports until I rotate it a bit or give it a chance to re-shape. Worth a try if you are looking for lumbar support

Brilliant for comfort
Having a spinal injury makes it uncomfortable sitting, but when my lumbar roll was delivered, I was over the moon & I've used it constantly, it helps you keep your posture when sitting and does not move or slide out of place because of the straps attached, you can either strap it to a seat/ car seat or around your waist and position it to suit your back. It is lightweight and a handy size to carry with you, I love it!

Helpful lumbar roll
I bought this roll for a chair at work. I had a different back support for a few years but decided to change after I tried one my friend has. I've had problems with lower back for over 10 years. It does the job and supports the lower back well. It makes me sit straight as well. I would recommend a foot rest to those with back problems as the combination of the two is just great.I even took the roll with me to support my lower back while driving to Europe (as a passenger).
