Great product. Makes uncoupling easy.
Great product. Makes tricky manual uncoupling easy. Even my 3 year old can do it with ease. Would definitely buy again.

Buy this instead of the R617 uncoupling ramp
Although more expensive by £4-£6, this is far superior to the cheaper alternative from Hornby, the R617 uncoupling ramp, which is flimsy, difficult to fit and in 50% of cases breaks as you try and insert it into track. The build and performance of this more expensive alternative is far superior as it is, of course, a length of track in itself. Go for this as first choice, the other cheaper option will waste more of your time, money and patience.

Needs a flat surface to work but adds a great amount of playability.
Couldnt get this to work until I had my layout on a flat board. Once working its great as I can now couple and uncouple carriages and wagons without touching anything. Great for picking up and putting things away in sidings.

This is an ideal tool for a young boy to improve his Hornby experience just that little bit more.
