Awesome winch
Great winch for rubicon Atv. I was stuck recently in snow and couldn’t get out. I used the winch; it started to pull slower but did the job with no issue. Great winch; going to buy another for my other rubicon.

Nice, powerful winch, easy install
The directions were not easy to follow, but fortunately the install was easy and fairly intuitive. This winch is very powerful and suits. My needs well. I bought a smaller, one, very similar different manufacturer, less powerful, and it took two years to burn it out under nearly constant daily use. I’m confident this one will serve me for years.

very well made for an outstanding price
installed on a 2005 Kawasaki Mule - using it to operate a snow plow. I highly recommend the synthetic (rope) cable vs steel. Very easy to work with. I did accidentally cut the rope and it was extremely easy to fix. Winch very easy to operate and comes with a remote too.

mixed emotions at first, now a total disappointment
so, you will NOT get what is pictured... basically you get a ginormous control box with LITERALLY 12" leads to the winch (yes, color coded to the lugs) + rocker switch + remote (no holder for it to be mounted somewhere (like a Warn))+ mounting plate (far from universal) + nuts/bolt + fairlead (which will likely be a wrong size for you, so you might as well purchase one with a wider hole spacing, but maybe you will get lucky.)... so, I was mounting this (as a replacement) on 2001 Polaris Sportsman 500 6x6, after removing all the racks and plastics and disassembling/removing my old winch, I was ready to mount my new one (3000lbs, synthetic rope)... controller box has to be literally right next to the winch in order for wires to fit without modification (adding some additional 4ga wires); controller box is HUGE - I was lucky I had room under my 'hood'/top plastic but changing/cleaning a filter/screen in front of the radiator will require moving everything pertaining to a controller box out of the way. MOST units (including my 2020 Outlander 1000XT 6x6 will NOT have adequate wire length from the controller box to the winch. So, manufacturer should consider adding at least 14-18" to those two cables... INSTRUCTIONS.... seriously, why waste paper? despite listing my model number and same picture of the winch itself - there was NOTHING useful about it. LIKE 0 information. there is also an extra 'hot' wire coming from the thumb controller box which serves 'who knows what' purpose, because buttons are NOT lit. since it was red in color - I connected to power by putting a ring on it just my main battery lead... so, for POLARIS, rest of the wires were long enough to reach battery while properly routed, with that said, if I was to mount this on the CanAM Outlander 6x6 I would of ran out of both leads to the winch and leads to the battery... For some reason, wires from the thumb rocker are like 10ft long.... Fairlead is cheap and will be a wrong size for most, so before you go out in the woods or your cabin (as I am) make sure you have an up size as far as bolt spacing... judging by the quality of metal/nuts on terminals (winch, as you will NOT get pictured boots and 4 wires that you will have to tie in(everything comes out out of a brick of the controller) - make sure you coat EVERYTHING exposed electrical with NO-OX... does it work, yes. did I try to pull logs or anything heavy with it yet - NO. junky directions and short wires are the reason for 3-starts. Updated review 1-Sept-2022: remote no longer talks to the winch, manual thumb control still works. Light comes on on a remote when activating and pressing in/out, however, nothing happens. When remote disassembled to change batteries (in case that was a problem) - no water/moisture damage observed. Getting a hold of Customer Service to see if they can help with a solution/fix. Dropping to 2-Stars for now. 24-April-2023 update: customer service originally promised to send replacement Control box - nothing showed up. Contacted them again (Dec’22) - was told “sorry, resending controller box and a new remote…” - a month later - NOTHING. March ‘23 - got a hold of customer service- no record of me contacting em, and now I am out of warranty of any sorts - basically a “Thank you for giving us your money in exchange of our piece of garbage winch…”. Last time I gave em any of my $$

Good for the price
Seems to be a good winch. The fair lead that comes with it isn’t the standard 4 7/8” that fits 99% of the brackets out there. It only fits the universal bracket that comes with the winch. I ordered an extra one now. So add another $20 to your purchase. The solenoid box that comes with it is huge and not economical for a 4 wheeler with limited room. Probably ok for a side by side. Seems ok for the money but a couple things I’d change is the fair lead and the solenoid box!

STRONG WINCH I USE TI TO PULL MY QUAD INTO MY PICKUP.
THIS IS A GREAT WINCH. STRONG, EASY, COLOR CODED WIRING. A BREEZE TO PUT TOGETHER. THE HARDEST PART WAS FABRICATING A WINCH HOLDER ONTO MY PICKUP BOX. GREAT WINCH FOR THE PRICE.

Weak instructions but excellent product
Instructions were really weak but I have experience and it went together perfectly. I did not install the remote, maybe later. The winch itself is rock solid.
