Best of the Espresso roasts
For me the best of the mass produced Italian espresso blends. I was walking around Rome with an Italian once and when she saw a cafe with this logo she said, this one is better than average. In Italy, all of the espresso is good, so if one is better than normal, it is incredible. I have found this to be very solid and consistent. It is just a touch less roasted than some other ones, like Lavazza, and so there is a little sweetness. But it still tastes like Italian coffee, not like the new wave stuff. I would certainly choose this one over Illy, which is more expensive.

Great mellow Italian coffee.
Hard to find restaurant item. If you like a rich, mellow flavor this is your espresso.

One of the best bean you can get
If you are a espresso lover like me, look for the best bean available. This one comes from Italy, where espresso is a passion. I have been trying different products for many years and this is the best fit so far for my Rancillio Silvia. Tastes smooth, creamy, not bitter at all.

Good but not enough depth in the cup for milk drinks
I'm an experienced espresso drinker. Was really looking forward to this blend (and brand) as I have not tried these before. I prefer strong Italian espresso blends to pull on my lever machine. I was really hoping the espresso would be a little darker with more punch, especially since this blend has 40% Robusto beans. The beans smell great with a chocolate aroma, but the finished cup tastes mild and medium. For me, it does not stand up enough for a latte so that the flavors come through well in the cup. You may love it, but for me, it does not have the punch compared to a favorite, Caffe Borbone Miscela Blu.

Fantastic Espresso
For now, the closest I can get to an Espresso in Florence!: especially if you have the equipment and the skill

Perfect balance
This blend is perfect if you like darker roasts for your espresso drinks . Had it at an Italian bakery and immediately ordered this bag. Very good chocolate undertones.

I finally found bad Italian coffee!
I finally found bad Italian coffee! I'm first generation born in the US from an Italian family. I've traveled there quite often since I was a small child. I was referred to this brand of coffee that I had never heard of and was anticipating on savoring the supposed nice flavor I was told it had. It arrived, I was excited. I ground my beans and made an espresso to make a cappuccino as I've always done for over 20 years each morning. This brand of coffee is "tasteless!" It's just brown water with maybe a hint of coffee flavor if you concentrate on it really hard. I have a commercial coffee grinder that is ridiculously heavy... yet I did not hesitate to turn it upside down in order to remove "every" coffee bean and proceeded to throw away the entire bag. I would not recommend this unless you like weak, flavorless coffee. Thank you.

Excellent Italian
I don't think I'll ever use another bean, unless I get it while I'm in Italy. I love this one. The crema is beautiful. The flavor is smooth.

The best
I have a beans-to-coffee machine and have tried several, including Lavazza and others. I found this one to be very tasty.
