I have never bought or invested into a product like this before. Since Covid, I have been growing my hair out to its natural color. I have a nice silver/pepper color on the top of my head, but I just really dislike the brown that was still in the base of my head. After going to the salon and being told that it would take 5 to 6 return visits of foiling to maybe match the top of my head, she told me to check into halos and tails. After ordering from four different companies, salt and pepper blends, I settled on this company. The match was quite amazing and all my friends and family could not believe it was synthetic. I was cautious because of the previous reviews about the clip, not holding a lot of hair, and the strength of the clip that came with the ponytail. I have very long and medium weight hair and the clip I found to be extremely strong, intention, and structure, as well as holding up my hair for over 10 hours without shifting or drooping. I was also very skeptical about the wires in the ponytail. I was fearful they would be noticeable and could not figure out what purpose they had. They are great. You can adjust your tail to different shapes and nearness to your head. You cannot see them at all. I highly recommend trying this company and their product.

Update: I've purchased 3 of these previously and loved them. However, since they're synthetic, they don't last forever so I came for another. It is NOT the same as my previous 3 or 4. It is much shortet - not even close to 12". It's cute on and the clamps are always strong, but it's only a few inches longer than a bun. Not sure what happened but since these all say 12", something changed. Returning and trying again but I'm guessing it will be the same. 5 stars reduced to 3. Original review: I have a few messy buns I bought here on Amazon that I throw on for virtual meetings (I work remote). I wanted to try something new that wasn't quite so uptight looking. This one is a much better match for my hair (very highlighted dark ash blonde) - a little more variation would be a better total match but it looks real. There are wire/cord things inside of it that you can bend to your own tastes. At first I didn't realize that and bent them all around to try different looks - I was afraid they would show. They DO NOT at all, no matter how I style it - so versatile! I bend it up higher and out further for normal wear but closer in for work. My daughter (25) knows I wear the messy buns but she saw this one and said "wow mom, your hair looks so cute!". Claw is VERY strong, in fact a little difficult for me to open. It won't fall off ever. I wore it to work (in person) and I needed to adjust the prongs a few times throughout the day, but I absolutely love it and the claw didn't budge. I would like a little more color variation but the messy bun styles I've tried with highlights were TOO different in color for my hair (like brown and blonde chunks together). My natural hair in the front looks a little brassy in my pics, but it was right after highlighting. Some purple shampoo got a near-perfect match (I always tone a few times after highlighting because I hate brassy). I pull my own hair back into a tiny, tight bun and just clip this on. I pull a little hair over the top and bobby on it there and one on each side because I'm paranoid the clasp will show. It doesn't though, but it looks better that way to me. I'm going to buy a spare because I love it so much. Perfect length for what my hair would look like if I spent an hour poofing up my own pony. Buy it! Unlike some other pieces, the colors are true to the photos. SUCH a time-saver.

This was my second order of a CJL hair piece and this time I got it right! This is the claw clip short ponytail in the color White which is a perfect blend with my naturally white hair. I love the design which allows one to customize how the various sections lay depending on the look you want and where it is placed on your head (top, middle, lower areas). I had previously ordered a different Ice Blonde color, but it was much too grey for my white hair. Now that I know to order “White”, I have purchased a couple more pieces. Whether for dressup or just to run errands, I love having these beautiful options for my hair. Thank You!

Good color match, value and ok quality. I like that you can bend a few pieces which makes it look more authentic. I would buy again.

I’ve been embracing my grey over the last year but I’m not enjoying how thin my hair has become with age. I’ve tried over twenty hair pieces trying to find one that matches my gray and my natural curls. This is the first one I didn’t return and have worn it for a variety of events. This C Salt and Pepper color matched perfectly and the clip with the structured wire pieces made it secure and natural looking. It added just the amount of fullness I wanted and it was easy to put on. I even received compliments from strangers on multiple occasions! I’m ordering a second one to have on hand for the future. Why not? At this price it’s worth having backups.

Disappointed in the quality of this ponytail extension. The clip is very large and the hair really looks fake.

I was hesitant ordering this - worried it would look very fake. But I was pleasantly surprised how natural it looks. Easy to clip in. Length was perfect. I could control the fullness by moving around the flexible wire arms that the soft and natural-like hair is attached to. Very pleased with the outcome.
