Top quality.
Top quality tool. Should have bought one years ago. So useful for marking, starting off drilling, screwing, even nailing. And it's useful for a variety of materials from metal to plastic, stone to wood. Great for stopping "drill-bit walk".

Great quality as ever from Starrett
Anything I ever bought from Starrett was well worth the money and so is this. Not the cheapest punch but it feels like it will last and stay sharp.

Nicely made weighty centre punch
Comfortable to hold and with a nice weighty feel to it. Good hardened steel - works well.

Starrett round stock centre-punch
OK 1st off, it's a 100% genuine Starrett product and as such a great piece of solid engineering. Round shank feels good, much better than a square one, the weight is spot on and the knurling is just the right balance of grippy and comfortable. It's a Starrett, what else would you expect. One point to consider is that I ordered a Model 117-C and received a Model 117-D. To me it makes no difference but if you have a 'D' and need a 'C' you may want to confirm with the seller before ordering. Other than that great service and great product.

Si se trata de Starrett no esperaba menos. Minuciosos acabados de punta a punta, no es necesario aplicar tanta fuerza para marcar el metal y proceder con una broca incluso mediana desde el principio sobre todo si se trata de un orificio grande, 3/8 o 1/2. Muy fácil de sujetar por la textura anti-deslizable en la parte intermedia. Impecable ....

It’s a lot better than most punches. Definitely worth the price. Would buy again. Have used it on aluminum only will update when used on stainless.
