CV40 Carburetor with Choke Cable fits Harley Davidson Dyna Electra Glide Fatboy Softail Sportster 1200 XLH1200 Sportster 883 XL883 XLH883

Works great, however had to thread the holes for the air clear. I think it was made in a Friday and the holes were not threaded. Popped the carb in and bike started right up. Great value.

Its an inexpensive replacement carb. I highly recommend pulling the float bowl and checking the jet sizes that are installed and make sure they are snug. I have had to change the main jet in the ones I've used. The installed jet is one size bigger than a stock bike needs. Look in the manual and just be sure. Had one with a jet that was loose from the factory.

Fits and works just like the factory carb. Had no problems.

DO NOT BUY!!!! Bought for 99 Harley Dyna FXD. The threads they drilled for air cleaner which should be 1/4 are NOT RIGHT!! I went to countless hardware stored trying to find right bolt size. IT IS NOT STANDARD, METRIC, OR EVEN WHITWORTH BOLT!!!!!! ITS TOTALLY ALIEN THREAD PATTERN TO THE UNITED STATES AND UK. The thread size is somewhere between M6 AND M8, PITCH 1.00-1.25. None of those will fit. They are cheap because either someone threaded them wrong at company and needed to get rid of them fast. The carb works perfectly, but it's useless when you can mount up air cleaner. Am I supposed to just put a bag and rubber band over my carb?! What a joke! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAP TO 1/4, THERE IS NOT ENOUGH MEAT ON HOLES TO TAP YOURSELF. AMAZON NEEDS TO STEP UP AND GET PEOPLE LIKE THIS OFF OF HERE!

The carburetor works great,there was a lot of extra parts with it that I wasn’t expecting. I had been looking for a new choke cable and hadn’t been able to find one,but there was one included with the carburetor. I thought there might be something else wrong with my bike but I thought I would try this first and it’s been running great since I installed it. Great price too.

The description is wrong. It does not include a cable. There is also a tool pictured that is not included. The bolt holes are not right and have to be rethreaded, it wasn't hard but it was an inconvenience. I installed the carburetor and as soon as the gas was turned on it flooded over. Removed the carburetor and found the needle seized in the seat by a spot of corrosion. Sanded it clean, reassembled and then it worked. Things could have been better.

Works good

This carb is a great fix for anyone having carb troubles. Works right out of the box with a little fine tuning. Only problem is you have to tap the air cleaner holes. Not a big issue!

Opened the box and found no choke cable in the box as shown in the picture of what comes in the kit. Came with some extra jets and couple extra hoses

Needed the carburetors ASAP and paid extra to include the choke cable but of course cable was missing.
