QUAD CORE AMD BULLDOZER FX-4100 4.0GHZ 1TB HDD 8GB DDR3 RAM USB 3.0 HDMI, VGA, DVI HOME DESKTOP COMPUTER PC

At first I was slightly apprehensive about purchasing a Desktop online, but based on the feedback from others, I decided to take the risk. As with the other comments, all was proven correct. Shipped early, arrived early. doesn't come with an OS, but it was easy to install an Windows 7 at all, keyboard and mouse just work instantly when I plugged it in. Within an hour everything was set up and working fine. Performs great, boots up within a minute, and does everything that is expected of it. I did encounter a slight problem with the unit after a few days however, I contacted OCHW regarding this and was called back almost immediately after sending an email, a new part was shipped to me, arrived fast, was easy to replace the existing part that was causing an issue. I was really amazed at the level of customer care / responsiveness by Mark on part of OCHW. This far exceeds what you would usually expect had you gone to a shop and purchased the product there. For all those wondering whether you should purchase this, I would recommend that you do, it's a bargain considering the Price vs Specs, and you can rely on the excellent customer service to help you with whatever problems (if any) that you face.

When the power supply on the server I've been using at home for 7 or 8 years blew up and fried the motherboard - I thought this would be a decent replacement at a very reasonable price. I wanted something with plenty of horsepower, disk and ram. Didn't want to buy a monitor, keyboard, mouse or an operating system as I already have all those things. This seemed to fit the bill nicely. A 1tb disk meant I could create half a dozen 12gb partitions for different operating systems (installed Arch, Mint and Ubuntu so far) and still leave 900gb for a /home partition. All working very nicely. Video and sound playback very good, processing speed excellent and webpages refresh very quickly compared to the expensive computers I use at work. It is much noisier than my previous machine but I'm hoping some quiet fans will improve things. One small issue I'm having is that the BIOS seems to think a floppy drive is installed when clearly there isn't. This means my partition editor can hang for minutes trying to read the non-existent device. Can't find anywhere in the BIOS to change this. Anyone know how?

While I actually rate this product with 5 stars there were issues with it. The following actions were required: 1. RAM. PC was locking up at boot screen with screen corruption after about 30 seconds from cold startup. Problem suggested RAM, so this was moved to a second slot. Problem continued, so RAM was moved to third slot - system became stable. In between times a second monitor was tried, to no avail. 2. No boot from DVD drive. S-ATA cable was moved from existing port in group of three RAID section to one of the bank of two. Boot fixed. 3. Hard drive not detected during Windows 8 installation. This was the longest part of the 4 hour install; all known S-ATA pre-install drivers were tried. Some from the supplied DVD, others from the motherboard manufacturer's website. Occasionally Windows installer would recognise a driver as being compatible with the S-ATA controller. After trying many different combinations it was decided to install the Windows 8 OS onto an older, 80GB P-ATA hard drive. Windows installed without further trouble and upon completion the system was cloned using Clonezilla onto the S-ATA drive. The clone was successful and the PC booted perfectly from the newly imaged original S-ATA drive. Once the system proved to be sound, the 80GB partition on the new drive was extended to completely fill the disk. I am fortunate to have a colleague who is an IT engineer. Without him there was no way I would have got this PC to work. Although I could have used the 30 day policy I was late installing due to family issues.

I am very impressed with this PC, and the specs it provides for it's price. As long as you are confident with installing an OS, which is a very easy process, this computer is brilliant value for money. Huge storage space, VERY speedy, and whisper quiet. While the integrated graphics aren't spectacular, for the price you cannot complain about them, as they are capable of playing a lot of the lesser demanding PC games, such as World of Warcraft, on mid to high graphical settings, and if you're willing to fork out a little extra for a graphics card this PC can become a high end gaming PC. If I were to give a downside, it would be a lack of a built-in network card, but this was not unexpected. All in all, for daily use this PC is all that you could ever want or need, and if you're willing to spend a little bit more it can be a very capable gaming platform. I am very impressed, and would recommend this to anyone considering giving it a go.

I bought one of these last year for my daughter at Uni, it plays Sims 3 without a graphics card and does everything else she needs and is still running OK after nine monthsso on that basis it's a five star machine. I thought I'd buy a second one to replace the aging family PC and in order to make my life as easy as possible I elected to put the old hard drive in this one as a slave so that I could transfer all the old data. The only trouble is, there's no spare SATA power cable inside the box. That's disgraceful. What it tells me is that this PC is built to the bare minimum specs and I ought to be worried about the quality of all the components. I'm not impressed.

Overall good machine, does what it says. 1 problem I had is usb is the 3 stopped working after 2 days

After placing the order I received this product 2 days later, However i ran into a problem which meant I couldn't install an operating system (faulty ram card). After contacting OCHW they rang me within 2 minutes of sending an email and were extremely helpful on the phone. They gave me an address to send the faulty ram card back, and once received they would send a new one out with a free game as compensation. About a week later I still hadn't received the new ram card, i therefore emailed the company again and was told to wait another 2 days and if not arrived by then give them another email and they would send another one out the same day. So it eventually arrived today and plugged in and working fine. I am still waiting for the game to be sent (I thought it would have been in the same package) but with the customer care I received I can only rate this 5 stars. The PC itself is also an excellent machine for the price, I will be adding a graphics card (without a dedicated PSU) making light gaming better

At first I thought I was sold a duffer, but once it was sent back without any quibbles. In fact the item was dealt with on Boxing Day!!! I was impressed. It was dealt with repaired with windows put onto it for me and the computer sent back within 7 days. Now it is back, there are a few things I wish would have been better, the graphics card is not great and lags every so often which I didn't expect from an 8 gig ram computer. But there again I have to appreciate this is a budget computer and for what I do it is quite adiquate and I'm sure that I'll be able to upgrade the graphics at a later date. I'd strongly recommend this Computer. The service is great, the computer is very quiet. The sound card has a lovely sound!!!
