Are these slip on shoes ?

I am able to slip mine on! I either use my finger at the heel to help it go in or I use a shoe horn.

Is this shoe durable?

Yes, it is a durable shoe. I love the shoe.

Are these made to be worn without socks?

No. They have an elastic band around the top that keeps them snug. Without socks, that elastic would dig into your ankles.
