I went through about 3-5 different protectors, looking for something that could defend it from drool, dust, and makeup stains, but still maintain the soft, squishy qualities I dropped all that money for. I HATE the crunchy, rustling, slippery waterproofing material that EVERY OTHER company uses! I don't care how soft and quiet they say theirs are -- they're lying. This is the ONLY one I've come across that actually feels plush and is silent. Best pillow protector out there! ### ⭐⭐ NOT standard sized...Not really *by D***5 on Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2018* I bought a two pack to save money, and I washed my pillow and the case so I was starting fresh. When I went to put it on I noticed two things right away.1) The zipper is CHEAP. It was very hard to close, and I was afraid it was going to break on this first use.2) The opening is much smaller than a standard pillow making it quite hard to get your pillow in. Once it is in, you have to do your best to finagle the aforementioned cheap zipper closed. I was pressing down on the pillow while simultaneously holding the two sides close together so I could get it to close.On the pro side, it's an aesthetically pleasing cover, and it's soft/comfortable. I cannot yet tell you much about long term usage because I've only been using it a couple nights at this point, but I will try to update my review after I've had it a longer time.Update: Original review September 2018. Today is May 2019. I've added a picture that captured as best as I can get off how small the cover is in relation to a standard pillow.I stand by everything. Zipper still very cheap, and after this time using it, my pillow is crammed in there so tight that it never resumed it's shape and has been lumpy for months.The good news is my pillow is very clean coming out and smells clean. Man was I wrong! You can't even tell it's on the pillow and it doesn't take away from the squishy goodness of the pillow. I love these body pillow protectors so much I've ordered 5 so I'm never without! I also use their regular sized pillow protectors and it's the same exceptional quality. Coop home Good's outdid themselves with this one and I couldn't be happier. Body pillows are expensive and this is a good way for me to protect my investment without sacrificing any comfort! LOVE IT!UPDATE: I've been using these for a few months now and they're just as soft now as the day I put them on. But I have finally given in to the fact that they're a tad troublesome getting on and off. When I first got them I washed them often and line dried (these take a long time to dry, you have to flip them inside out over and over to get them fully dried because the inside will hold the water from the washing machine). However over time I've found myself washing them less frequently because it takes all day to get them dry but also because I'm always nervous the zipper will break during put ons and take offs. You are supposed to squish your pillow into and out of the opening which obviously is very possible but there's no way to avoid putting stress on the zipper opening during this process. Another thing about these protectors is that the greyish strip along the sides is NOT water proof. So everytime I do take the protectors off i find new stains along the sides where the pillow had no protection. And I could be wrong but I think the non-water proof gusseted sides are an essential to the extreme comfort of these protectors so I can't be too picky (otherwise I believe these would inflate with air anytime pressure is applied). If I didn't have young children I probably would've never even realized the sides aren't waterproof.
