Decent, sturdy, metal shoehorn, not like the thin, short ones that used to be given away in shoe stores with a purchase. This one is made of heavier gage metal than those and has a longer handle. Works well in helping to put on shoes. Being metal it won't crack. I didn't find the edge to be sharp as some reviewers reported. Good price!

This is a lovely item! The length and handle are well made and fit well in your shoe and hand. This is a nice thickness and it does not lend to any bending!

I have messed up good shoes my not using one of these. Then I went cheap and tried a plastic shoe horn and it did not last very long. This is sturdy and should last me forever. It does the job well. The only thing I do not like is that on the order page in not one but two different product pictures they show two shoe horns, which can mislead people into thinking they are getting two items. It makes me think it was done deliberately, because there is not reason to display two items. I think that should be corrected. I think its a fair value for the money for one.

It is simple and works great. It is small enough to fit into a small bag or large pocket. Made out of metal, it is sturdy and doesn't damage the back of the shoe. Must recommend for people who wear dress shoes often.

I surrendered the battle of "Woman-in-a-Hurry versus Hard-to-get-on Sneakers". I was prepared to order a pair of hands-free, slip-on sneakers, but I was turned off by the mixed reviews. What's the solution? ORDER A SHOE HORN! But not the short, plastic relic of the past Grandpa used and was always misplacing. Nope, my shoe horn is long, and made of shiny stainless steel with smooth edges! It has a comfortable arch, a wider base, and your foot slides into your shoe with ease! It won't break if I accidentally step on it! I now realize Grandpa wasn't old fashioned, he was smart! Not only can you quickly put shoes on in a fraction of the time without pinching your fingers, but you also don't need to bend down as far to use it because of the length of the shoe horn. It also has a hole at the top so you can hang it up and make a permanent place for it in your home, or slip it into a suitcase while you travel. It's especially useful when putting on heel-hugging shoes, or when you're wearing thick socks. I discovered that although the larger end of the shoe horn is typically inserted into the heel of your shoe, the opposite end with a slimmer profile works well, too. This smaller base may actually come in handy for helping children put on their shoes. There's nothing I don't like about this shoe horn - except that I didn't purchase one sooner. I highly recommend this item!
